They have just announced they are giving them three stands saying lack of interest made them do it. And they would be right. As a business with shareholders they have a duty to act in what they see as the financial interests of the club. As financial positions vary and cash backing fluctuates then hard decisions need to be made. If we could take enough people to Perth to fill 3 stands for a crunch game, 8 wouldn't complain and with the situation at the top of the league St J clearly see a financial opportunity. billyg
They are facing a nightmare if , as expected, Galatasaray are their first Euro opponents. Both games would have to be played at nominated venues outside of UK and Turkey due to covid , and the clubs will have to cover the costs of using these venues . Maybe just as well we didn't make the top 6 this year !

Maybe just as well we didn't make the top 6 this year ! Seems not.................. St Johnstone say they will play the home leg of their opening Europa League tie at McDiarmid Park. Saints are likely to face Galatasaray, with Turkey on the UK's red list and subject to quarantine regulations. But, even if the first leg of the third qualifying round on 5 August is played at a neutral venue, the Scottish club will host the second leg on 12 August.
