Kibble/SMiSA Partnership

We wont get every minute detail, but this sounds like one that most of us would like to know before voting.
Just for clarity, I'm sure the first part of my post that you've commented on was actually a post by Dickson that I quoted.
Bloody quote function.
Bloody Chinese government attacking my phone...

Got my reply...

Vote will be same as a normal SMISA vote via Very Connect system which has recently seen an upturn in registrations

So that means it will be a majority of people voting ,not majority  of members, need to get PR started to get everyone  to vote!!

From Companies House...

Five Trustees are also employees earning over £80,000 per annum EACH.

Two of them are paid over £100,000.

Eight Trustees are employees being paid over £600,000... Well over half a million every year

Some "charity"!

Their grant income has reduced by more than half year on year.

Charitable income is down.

If only they had access to an easy cash cow!

All up to the members, their choice.

Whether you agree or not, they should all know the rules as they are at the moment.

Thete are no specific rules regarding this, its allowing one party to a legal agreement  to be allowed to break that agreement

It should only pass by the majority  of the members ,ie 650

The ratio in these places is always top heavy.

We have a smaller, but similar, institution close to here.

Surprised me when I seen the numbers of staff.

I am sure you or a proxy will canvass your opinion at the meeting on Thursday.

Happy for it to even go to an EGM but need members to still engage

Approx ratio in the place close to here is approx 170 staff to 36 residents.

The residents range from minor offenders to murderers.

Nothing to do, directly, with the Kibble, but just shows the ratio is quite high.

I hope the Kibble is run better than the one here, it's a fecking shambles.

I am only a concerned bystander in this as I am not a SMISA member nor do I have shares in the club or have any connection with Kibble.

I haven't looked at the rules but find it hard to envisage that significant ownership of assets can or maybe more importantly should be passed by a simple majority

However, 24 hours in a day = 3 x 8 hour shifts ?

Still quite a ratio however

As part of my job I get to inspect prisons , Armley prison , Wealstun Young offenders / hospitals/ sports facilities ( Leeds United / Leeds Rhinos / Yorkshire Cricket Club etc )

The sporting venues have a vastly inferior ratio to the sheer volume of people they care for obviously

The Young offenders unit however, is very similar if not greater than the numbers you quoted

The sheer cost of the people who require looking after , based on the criminal element is criminal in itself !!

Wee neds costing the taxpayer a ridiculous amount of money !!

The money can be justified on those children in the care system however through no fault of their own & as a foster parent myself, there are good kids out there worthy of ever penny spent

There is a rule. Are you willing to come forward and publicly show the illegality of this process?

Never said anything was illegal, what rule covers external sales of shares  not owned by Smisa??

My understanding is that some members had still to register with the new system. Rather than new members registering. [emoji106]

Seems very connect sign up has recently increased and SMiSA are chasing up those yet to do so
Got this info in response to question on vote method

Is that a huge ratio?
They provide 24/7 care and will have numerous shifts rotating.
