Why are we continually being used as a guinea pig for breaking in inexperienced referees? If you have a look at the games this tool has refereed, its plain to see he is not trusted to ref high profile games.

He was very poor and as part of that very inconsistent. No argument about the penalty decision though.

He was the ref for both teams, just saying.

What about the team selection and first half performance?

One kick away from a pumping, that's the precarious position we're in.

Selection... our fault.

Inability to pass in the first half... our fault.

Lack of pace and movement... our fault.

now. ref for both teams? Maybe on paper. That went beyond incompetency though.

Obika booked for a nothing challenge yet the guys who assaulted Flynn and Famewo stayed on the pitch.

Penalty was, sadly, a legitimate call... but he could hardl;y wait to award it!
He was inconsistent and let Accies away with some terrible tackles. Gave us very few of the free kicks we legitimately deserved.

If he ever referees one of our games again, it will be a travesty. He has an agenda and nobody will convince me otherwise! CHEAT!

Hard to disagree, we where absolutely honking! Ref was just as incompetent as the rest of his colleagues but we can’t use that as an excuse to hide away from our own performance.

Now you are being silly.

He tried to kick the ball... missed and connected with the player.

No malice. No intent. No force. No violent conduct.

Oh wise one... what was the imagined red card offence?

There doesn't need to be intent.

I recall a Man Utd game a few years ago, defender, eye on the ball, turned round and kicked the opposition player, harsh IMO, but red card.

Away and calm yersel down, you're getting a tad out outrageous, increase the Tramadol

Are you off the drugs? How did you get back to Arbroath after being at the match in Paisley tonight?

There was no real malice from the fans at refs performance until Obika came on and was booked right away for a non incident.

From there, the ref failed to properly action the foul on Flynn (only booking the guy once it was apparent he'd actually done Flynn and ended his match) and then both he and the linesman missed the blatant elbow that opened up Famewo's eyebrow. Two that on another day would have been red cards.

He quite obviously took the hump at the shout of 'you don't know what you're doing' and for the last 10 minutes, gave some of the most blatant and ridiculous decisions that I've ever seen. Not saying that he is pro Accies or anti Saints but in that last 10 minutes, he definitely went in a huff and decided he was going to give us absolutely f**k all, despite 4 or 5 blatant fouls.

I think that's a reasonable summary, for the majority of the match, nothing to talk about, a bad last spell.

Goodwins team selection more worthy of a thread IMO.

Why hasn't Newlands refereed any Celtic or Rangers games , yet he has now officiated 3 of our games and 3 Ross County games ? This cant be coincidence. We are being used by the SFA to give these idiots game time.

We were rotten especially in the first half FAS but I'm not sure we were just as poor as your understanding of the "current" sending off rules 😛 (although I think you probably know this already!!

“Honking” doesn’t begin to describe his performance. I don’t think he was biased against us and he certainly wasn’t the reason we did not win last night. He must have seen their keeper carry the ball outside his box before their goal - he was only yards away. If we can’t trust officials to get the fundamentals right the game is in a sorry state.
Over to the Compliance Officer to take action over the Famewo assault.

Sportscene is on tonight at 7pm- will be interesting to see if they highlight the Famewo incident.

About as accurate as the manager's team selection and tactics... or the referees performance!

Still to identify a genuine red card offence!

Hamilton have been using the same tactics for years . Foul like f**k and if you get fouled back , dramatise like f**k and roll around the floor for hours. The sooner they slip down to League 1 , the better for all concerned .

Oh , l didn't mention their lack of a fanbase.

The sooner refs this side if the border have to announce the team they follow the better

Did l see Wily Collomn doing a 4th official role last night or are my eyes needing tested??

Furthermore, if the same player had been booked for deliberately catching the ball, with two hands, earlier in the game, the yellow for the Flynn tackle would have seen him off.

They don't give us enough time, so doubt it.  Goals and penalty miss will be the sum of it.

No doubt.  We are given the same level of importance as the SFA give us when selecting rookie refs for our games.
