Was in Tesco Renfrew at 9-30 and no lavvy paper, no uncooked meat apart from steaks and only a few small bottles of milk left.

Total lack of beers as well which I found strange since few people seem to have them in their trolleys.

Later went to the post office in Lochfield Rd and found plenty of beers   :cheers   and some lavvy paper left  :moony2

I am now sorted for what goes in and out of my body for the next few weeks

Ah I see you've gone into full patriotic flag waving mode.

The irony [emoji2]

You continue with that, I'll continue to point out that our government has been utter ineffectual for 2 months.

^^^^ Boris - get this scientific, medical maths genius in your team now!

Maybe he could have advised you to allow mass gatherings to continue until the Old Firm had played [emoji23]

Been out in paisley and Johnstone today

Buses packed with 70 year pluses. Packs of 70 year pluses standing about chatting, blocking the pavements as usual. Witnessed one old guy pull out a hanky to sneeze into only for half of of the snot to land all over his jacket. His pals laughing away as it happens.

A couple of gangs of 70 year pluses sitting with their drinks in the Northern Way, a couple outside smoking.

It’ll all be Boris’ fault if any of this lot end up in hospital that they had no personal responsibility.

Local shops have had a full supply of all the essentials all the way through this panic. Might cost a few pence more but it avoids the hordes.

Read that Boris is considering a universal income to all. Seem to remember Stuart Dickson suggesting this before and the mob on this forum just gave him the usual abuse. Even the usual suspect right on faux leftie brigade.

Did he? I know I supported it and here's a bit of the discussion. I was hoping £800 a month could be afforded but I wasn't sure how it could be paid for:-

Don't ever remember Dickson advocating anything to be universally handed out without means testing.

Yes, I remember you advocating it too. Not something I’ve disagreed with.

Stuart’s version was far more extreme than your suggestion. I’m sure he’ll be along soon to explain.

I’m heading there now. If you have taken all the beer I’m coming after you.

I have just taken a hire there. They filled my Boot with lots of bottles and cans of alcohol.

Just thinking about all these old folk out socialising today on the streets, out having fun in the sun, sitting in pubs, smoking, sneezing all over each other.

For the vast majority of people this is a mild and quick illness. Yet the livelihoods of many of this vast majority will be ruined. We’re going to see a recession like we’ve never seen before. Future generations are going to see taxation and austerity like never before to pay for it.

All to save vulnerable people, of which these selfish fuckers are. These cunts who never have to worry about making a living again and never have to worry about earning enough to put a roof over their heads. All of whom had the luxury of retiring between ages 60-65.

The army should be mobilised now to round these cunts up and put them in isolation centres until it’s all over!

Ah no I remember now.

He wanted a universal payment to every citizen but he wanted all benefits stopped. He also wanted to abolish free NHS and free education,

The idea was that he wanted that universal payment to be used by people to pay for those services.

I also remember his figures being all over the place and his wafer thin knowledge being repeatedly exposed.

For some reason I have a suggested figure of £25k per person in my head

Yes, it was this he suggested. I'm sure Stuart will be along to defend this as a good idea.

Thickasf**k Andy is just trolling as usual.

£23,500 I think it was for a family of four. Paid for by scrapping the NHS, state education and benefits. It would be worth a lot more than that today. There was nothing wrong with the figures. As for knowledge, I wasn't the one claiming that it would drive up inflation..... [emoji2957]
Still don't think it's ridiculous in any way,. Letting people choose their schools and their health care provider would be a far better way to go. Certainly increasing competition would offer better value for money.

I don't want to distract from the subject of the thread, especially as this has been covered back on 2014 when suggested. Just to recap though, a throat pastel incurs a charge of $10 in US hospitals, along with a covid 19 testing kit costing around $250 - $350.

If you are unlucky enough to take ill and require hospitalisation then the costs under a free market are huge.

Only a sociopath or a f**kwit woukd think allowing a free market where the priority is profit access to health are is a good idea.

Millions of people in this country don't know how to wash their hands after taking a piss.

How on earth are you expecting them to choose education and health providers?

100,000 infections worldwide and the graphs I am looking at still look exponential in nature.

That trend should be concerning everyone but Faraway Saint assures us all that it's "just the fecking flu" so I, for one, am reassured.

That is true but I would imagine the numbers who have recovered is also exponentially rising. I don't see the media promoting that. Not sensationalist enough. I hope I will be one of them as I appear to have some of the symptoms. and am self isolating
