Coronavirus

So, as of next Saturday here's what it means, not quite the same severity of the March lockdown but close...........

Level 4 (very high)

Scots in areas with severe Covid-19 outbreaks will be placed into near-full lockdowns, with restrictions on travel and instructions to stay at home.

Restrictions on socialising remain the same as in level 3 areas, but Ms Sturgeon advised people to stay at home as much as possible.

Non-essential shops and hospitality establishments will closed without exception.

Hairdressers and other close contact services (for example, beauticians) will close.

Homeworking is advised for all sectors with the exception of essential work, outdoor work, construction and manufacturing jobs.

Non-essential travel into or out of level 4 areas will be prohibited and public transport should only be used when essential.

Gyms will close and outdoor sports will be restricted to non-contact games. However, professional sports are allowed to continue.

Informal childcare is permitted for the children of key workers, and formal childcare will be subjected to "targeted intervention".

We've been here before, you can't think for yourself on almost any subject.

Best leave this to the adults.

Thinking for yourself doesn't mean you automatically go against what the experts are saying (amazed I have to explain that to an adult).

Thinking you know better than people far, far more educated in a field than you is more often than not complete ignorance.

FFS because you have been so spot on when criticising the experts in the past on this virus.

I’ve been spot on in my criticisms of the government paid and big Pharma funded leftie experts

I’ve agreed with the more serious experts who have mainly been spot on

There are experts with different views on the subject.

Rather than read up on it and form your own opinion, you just hide behind those experts funded by the Tory government and big Pharma

You say that as though it's a bad thing.

People are idiots and a waste of space in general.

I'm a damn sight happier keeping out of their way where possible.

BTW, I no longer employ anyone as I have sold up and retired. I could have sworn I told you that just a couple of days ago. Feet up. Coffee and cake. Delicious.

You have sold your business that was making no money during a pandemic that had lasted 10 months so far  :o

Well done you

Didn't know it was Asda that

How do you know it was not profitable for @oaksoft? Are you his accountant?

As for retirement only a few months ago he said that he could never retire early. Now that he is financially independent he’s going to embark on a new career in film writing/making. Good luck to him.

PS I’m staying on his good side as with this lockdown I may need some bog roll.

I can remember him saying earlier in the year the business wasn't doing good.

If he can afford to retired good for him, since i managed to do it when i was 61 and i don't miss 1 sec of work.

I have plenty of bog rolls so i don't need to stay on his good side   :D

Well, it's maybe not quite the Winter Solstice yet but it was all kinda inevitable wasn't it. I'd expect Nicola to be introducing some tough new measures shortly preferably while wearing her red high heel shoes👠, if politix goes tits up for her she could always have a second career as a dominatrix - the sole remaining issue I have left is whether my sacrifice to Cernunnos should come from within my bubble or without.

White Shag Me Shoes actually

It was struggling due to the lockdown and I had to change the business virtually overnight to go online.

Once I did that we were eventually OK. You've missed a chunk of the story.

If you are going to be a smart arse it's best to get your facts right lest one makes oneself look an absolute twat. 😜

You have been wrong on so many fronts regarding this pandemic & we can now see you spinning any stats you can to try & show something that you were told multiple times in the first half of the year, didn’t appear to be the case.

The cold, hard, reality is, there are people that know better than you, me or FS & it isn’t a bad thing to put comfort in their guidance. You’ve used Sweden as an example throughout, look at the state they’re in next to comparable neighbour countries.

This virus is a killer, excessive deaths show we must take steps to control it, it’s perfectly reasonable to have a view that the economy suffering is a small price to pay to protect human life.

Yes, I understand that, quite a jump considering there's been no noticeable change in the cases in Angus.

Yes, blind, unjustified, panic.

How many times does this view have to be shown to be wrong before you change it?
- Hardly any cases late Feb/ early March

- hardly any cases September/ October

- hardly any cases mid December.

Covid19 spreads with people in close contact & can take hold very quickly without strong restrictions. Why do you still need told that in December 2020? 😓
