An absolute cnut of a person is Oaksoft who has no fecking clue about St Mirren or football.

Fecking moron.

I have the faraway walloper on ignore thankfully but saw Oaksoft quoting him and I have to say I thought I had seen it all on BWA but this has no be a new low in a very deep pit. Faraway wanting a BET on how many folk die. Get a fukin grip of yourself man, that is an utter disgrace !!!

Go and do the work I suggested.
Then come back and admit that I have made it crystal clear that my stats are rough and ready and hedged with all sorts of caveats such as needing something to change. OR come back and critique the trend curve that emerges.

Just re-did the numbers.

7 billion people times 1 metre times 0.5 metres is 3.5 billion square metres. That's 59km by 59km which is near as damn it 36 miles by 36 miles.

So not 30 square miles but you could certainly fit everyone into a surprisingly small area.

You'd need a lot of toilets though.....

Talking about people being half a metre deep and a metre wide was weird.

Don't know anybody that fits that description

He has bullied a few on here, particularly IOBS which was unforgivable.

Unfortunately for Oakcnut, he tried to do Ricky but Ricky absolutely and hilariously melted the wanker. His jealousy and meltdown  of Rickys success was wonderful to witness.

Yep and the heroes on the oil rigs and the refineries, Undertakers and the private ambulance drivers that take away the dead bodies. The HVAC engineers who are trying to keep data halls and server rooms cold whilst trying to heat hospitals and super markets and keep the air supply fresh and clean. Then you've got all their supply chain. And that's before you look at the factory workers and engineering plant companies that have responded to the governments call to manufacture respirators despite that not being their main business.

There is literally an army of millions of essential workers in the UK at the moment that aren't getting a round of applause when they leave their houses; who aren't getting any praise on social media and who - to their credit - don't expect any either. Yet without them doctors and nurses couldn't begin to do their job, the supermarkets would be completely empty, our streets would be muck ridden with sewage being backed up, and where rubbish was blown everywhere from the overflowing bins.

Workers, of every sort,  are traditionally despised by many in our stupid, unjust and unfair society.

well said, nice to see you in sensible mode :)

It's unhelpful and inappropriate to be chucking around words like "heroes" when you are describing exceptionally well paid members of staff.

Most of the people who are holding the country together right now are those who are paid the least and treated with disrespect by society - cleaners, those involved in food production and delivery etc.

When this is all done and dusted these people don't need to be patronised by applause. They need to be paid a wage which reflects their importance to the nation.

I'm hugely hopeful that this group of workers can find some way of ensuring that happens once this is finished.

It's never been "Right now" - they have always been the unrecognised people who hold our society together.

Mustn't carp, though.  :)

I'm glad to see that the current situation has lifted the scales from previously unseeing eyes and that we have at least three new converts to socialism.

Aye, we all have our uses and society wouldn't function without everyone's worthy input.  Every worker is worthy of his/her wage.

Avante Popolo!

HASTA! SIEMPRE!

Get a tape measure and try it. It's not far off.  Measure shoulder to soulder for width and ass to stomach for depth. Then allow a wee bit more depth to stop you ramming into the arse of the person in front of you. 🤣

The St Mirren V Hearts game was thee last domestic football game played in Scotland. I wonder if anyone who attended this game and has subsequently developed symptoms and /or have had a diagnosis could you respond to the survey below. All information will be treated in absolute confidence.

I remember a simpler time when people were able to help others out, quietly and with dignity, without whoring their "good deeds" on social media for "likes" and a bit of white knighting. There's a particularly nauseating one doing the rounds at the moment about "this is what it looks like to spend x hours saving lives" followed by a photo of them with mask marks around their mouths looking for people to call them heroes (which they inevitably do).

What the f**k is wrong with these people that the act of saving a life isn't enough for them unless they have a double helping of gushing praise for it online?

Way too early to be getting cocky about it but the last few days of figures (with the exception of the large spike yesterday) on both daily deaths and new cases are starting to show encouraging signs of moving away from the exponential growth we've seen over the last few weeks.

Let's see where we are in a week but this is some positive news.

Sorry but you are kidding yourself looking at total deaths.

On 9th March, Italy recorded 96 new deaths.

I'm afraid that we are pretty much precisely 2 weeks behind Italy and still on course to hit about 3000 daily deaths and the overwhelimg of our NHS around 5th to 7th April unless something changes. I wish I could be more positive and in a few days I might be. Not at the moment though.

Yesterday, the end is nigh...................

UK deaths now sitting around 52% of the level they were in Italy 2 weeks ago

Neil Ferguson now saying that two thirds of people with coronavirus who have died would have died anyway

When I stated this last week I received the standard abuse from oaksoft and TPAFTWAT

Neil Ferguson must be a sociopath according to TPAFTWAT then

More deaths in Germany than the UK yesterday. Is that because Germany do more testing?

er, wait a minute......

And I wonder if Ayrshire Saint is still out and about moaning about other folk being out and about

And LPM comparing coronavirus to the flu. Deary me. Epic fail.

And the worst thing is that certain people actually want more deaths to prove a point on a football forum thread

Evil evil people
