Time to edit the thread title.

Aberdeen equalise in the last minute of normal time, equalise in the last minute of extra time and score the winner from an OG in ET added time.

And they're supposed to have trouble scoring. Thank heavens we're at home!

We can beat anybody in Scotland playing our best???

Then slagging Faraway but showing him the league table.

Let me introduce you to the concept of the league table that we are currently in and we will focus on the best 6 teams that you claim we can beat -

Celtic 2 matches 2 defeats
Rangers 2 matches 2 defeats
Aberdeen 3 matches 1 win, 1 defeat, 1 draw
Motherwell 2 matches 2 defeats
Hibs 3 matches 2 defeats 1 draw
Livingston 3 matches 2 defeats 1 draw.

Total -
15 Matches
11 Defeats
3 Draws
1 Win.
3 Draws

We're still in it, we can win it.
The build up to the first goal last night was stunning, really excellent. We played some fantastic football. We can beat anybody in Scotland playing at our best. The next round will be tough, and on paper we shouldn't win it, but we've still got a great opportunity of reaching Hampden...and for now I can dream.
Allow me to introduce you to the concept of a league table, whereby each team is ranked based upon their results this season:

Third is a better position than seventh. You will notice that Aberdeen have won 11 games this season, compared to Kilmarnock's 9. Furthermore, Kilmarnock have lost 13 games, whilst Aberdeen have lost just 8 times.

The bit that matters...
Aberdeen...
One win. One defeat. One draw.
Honours even.
Home advantage.
Believe!

Of course we are underdogs. Rightly so.

But anything is possible.

Correct.

If league tables don't lie on the day then we are gunned already but they are a guide to the form both sides have had over the season.

Form is used to relate to recent matches, as you know, and used  to tempt many into making donations large and small to the bookies retirement funds.

The reliability of either in looking at a one off game is debatable but its unusual to see the team 3rd top of the league lose to the team third bottom of the league. But its happened. So who really knows?

Sadly, Aberdeen might just have found the form that justifies them being in and retaining 3rd place in the league. So we'll just have to do what we did with the 4th best team in the league and that is beat them.

You're wasting your time, the son of Ricky is a simple soul, leave him be.

He's away buying more "join the dots" books, he loves his dots.

Back on topic, as has been mentioned, we have done pretty well against Aberdeen this season.

Sure, overall, they are a better team but they are inconsistent and they will be wary of us, could be seen as a bogey team.

Tough game but not impossible we can win it.
