If league tables don't lie on the day then we are gunned already but they are a guide to the form both sides have had over the season. Form is used to relate to recent matches, as you know, and used to tempt many into making donations large and small to the bookies retirement funds. The reliability of either in looking at a one off game is debatable but its unusual to see the team 3rd top of the league lose to the team third bottom of the league. But its happened. So who really knows? Sadly, Aberdeen might just have found the form that justifies them being in and retaining 3rd place in the league.
