Effect of Coronavirus

I have had no sympathy for Hearts till now as everything they tried was out of self interest and at the expense of other clubs...

But this is a right kick in the nuts.

Celtic and Aberdeen players screw up.

Neither club is punished.

Their opponents suffer cancellation and potential fixture congestion.

Now this... How can this make any sense?

Why are they back in training so early in the first place. It's over 2 months until their season starts.

They didn't know what league they would be playing in so we're right to prepare accordingly.

Also... With a cup semi final approaching, it is only fair they get the same preparation time as their opponents.

It is one howler after another though.

The decision to close schools was a howler. The decision to cancel exams was a howler. Being party to the lockdown policies which have killed 000s, wrecked the economy and destroyed livelihoods was a howler.

The Scottish and UK governments collectively will go down as the worst in this country’s history.

Not only should they all resign, they all face prosecution for crimes against humanity.

Life imprisonment with no opportunity for parole and nothing less.

Personally I suggest a free pardon if they can make you disappear down some deep dark hole......................

Forgot about the semi, take it that comes before their league resumption.

Surprised you didn't claim I threatened to have done that previously.

With all the lies and imaginary conspiracies, you are going the right way about receiving at least a STDC, with you losing your mind.

Go on, threaten to put me in hospital like you did before, mr  internet gangster

Ooooh, I’m really scared 😂😂😂

I wonder if [mention=15909]Cookie Monster[/mention] is sending Stuart Dickson messages arranging to fight
and then not turning up
like the coward he is [emoji23]
Just to clear that post up, are you claiming I sent messages to that person before to arrange a fight?

I've no doubt you won't answer that, sort of sums you up.

  • 5 weeks later...
Was out for a meal on Saturday night, got chatting to an older couple who had decided to have a couple of days away.
The hotel they were staying in had charged them £250 for 2 nights.
This hotel, I've stayed there twice, is in the £60-£80 a night range.
The prices of drinks in the bar we were in were a joke, £8.25 for a glass of wine, £5.49 for a pint of Tennents and cocktails, I was there a year ago last week, had jumped from £6 to £8.
Ripping people off to make up for the previous months of no/low income doesn't sit well with me so feck them.

That is quite a hike in prices- particularly on the nightly rate, customers will soon get fly for this and won’t return, my sons haircut for example has went up a pound, now I don’t mind this because they will likely have additional overheads for the booking system, masks and sanitiser etc coupled with possible less custom.

I have always been the way that companies need to make profit but shouldn’t tear the @rse out of it...

I just don't understand why businesses do this sort of thing.

When we re-opened our biggest fear was our customers not coming back. We therefore kept our prices at the same level and have no interest in raising them anytime soon. We are at around 50 to 60% customer levels but they are buying more than before so we are maybe 60 to 90% turnover from March. If we had hiked our prices to compensate I reckon we'd be dead in the water,

More university researchers with nothing better to do have come up with this latest pile pf shite......................

Honestly, how do these people get out of bed in the morning every day and force themselves to do this sort of worthless guff for a living?

The funniest part is that it required collaboration across two universities for this tripe. 😅

They questioned 115 people, and made the following hilariously ridiculous statement:

“Countless studies show that in highly stressful times, men typically consume more alcohol and pornography, while women turned to sweets for their binging.

"The COVID-19 pandemic has upended these assumptions as our research debunks the commonly accepted perceptions of various stereotypical behaviors. Under pressure, we are more alike.”

I price some hotels up north since we lost our holiday in portugal and was shocked at how much basic hotels were wanting.
Decided to head south and got a hotel in Lytham St Anne's and an other 1 in York at around 30% off the normal prices. Both with swimming pools.
Add in NS decision for needing to wear face mask in pub/restaurant when leaving your table for a piss was an other reason to head south.
With the weather around 23 degrees for the last 3 days I am glad I did [emoji41]

Party because of the virus and my age, I have been offered the flu jag, and the address I have to go to is St Mirren Park, Greenlaw Rd Paisley [emoji56] Likely be the nearest I will get to the pitch this season [emoji852]

You’ll probably still get more time on the pitch than Cammy McPherson.
