Plans for next season

It was reported that the Championship clubs all agreed to a Oct starting date with a 27 games league.

It said that all 10 clubs approved the date to start.

So assuming Hearts voted, then surely they must accept what they have voted for.

I thought they said 8 out of the 10 voted yes? Might have missed something more recent where they all voted for it.

Well. Unless an interdict is granted then the top league will start on 1 August without them. They will therefore have an obligation to fulfill fixtures in the championship. Hearts will have to prove either malpractice or a mistake in applying the rules within what is a membership organisation. Malpractice in that the board acted outside its powers e.g.in allowing Dundee to change their vote in an early ballot and by allegedly pressurising clubs into accepting the preferred position of the board. The case would be that these rendered the process unfair.

Maybe i read the report wrong when it said all 10 clubs approved a short season, thinking all 10 said yes.

Only down side is us only likely having 1 away game in Edinburgh this season :(

No it isn't normal times, so why would you expect a normal result, if I owned Hearts we wouldn't have the cash to waste on a legal gamble, how is taking court action taking into account the best interests of Scottish football? They risk bankrupting the whole SPFL because they can't accept a democratic vote that doesn't suit them, all because of fiscal mismanagement and poor match results from that mismanagement.

I get the bit about bottom of the league. I do. But why did any club vote against reconstruction. Leaves deep pocket Budge to adopt an I will not Budge approach.

Clubs voted the way they did because nobody likes a bully and Hearts / Budge / etc have attempted to bully other teams / the league / the media / etc into keeping them in the premier league, then when that didn't look to promising the next wave of justification was 'no team should suffer' because of the virus,.mmmmmmmmmm still no good, ah yes what els can we try? What about; we have money would you like some? and of course the final retort  (not sure what happened to no team shall suffer) if you relegate us we will sue the league, stop all football and get millions from you all..assuming there is anyone left to sue, play or give a damn.   I really do have empathy with the vast majority of normal Hearts supporters and I also have no problem with Hearts looking at options that might save them the embarrassment of relegation (even though they do deserve it), but when that clearly was not going to fly they should have accepted their fate and not become the laughing stock that they have.

No team should have been relegated from an unfinished League campaign.

Season 2019/20 could be resuming this week, like as in England.

Season 2020/21 would start in August or at the latest in September.

What you seem to be suggesting was that emotion took over from logic.

Statement from Partick

https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-news/board-update-16th-june-2020/

Yesterday, we said that court action was our preferred route to challenging our relegation to League 1. It was only a lack of funding that stopped us. At that time, we reserved the right to change our position should circumstances change.

Last night, in response to our statement, we received a proposal to fully fund legal action should we wish to pursue it, at no cost to Thistle. After careful Board consideration, we have now accepted this extremely generous offer of unexpected help.

Today, following discussions with Hearts, we have agreed that we will launch a joint legal challenge to resolve what others have failed to do since April.

To those who think we should just move on and accept what’s been dished out to us, yesterday 26 clubs put themselves first. Today, we have now been given the opportunity to do the same.

Chairman Jacqui Low on behalf of the Board of Partick Thistle FC.

At the moment I'm close to branding all 42 minus the 16 that voted against, the same way. The lunatics have taken over the asylum. One flew over the cuckoo's nest the sequel.

We know your view, it didn't happen, get over it. We know you're really good at letting things go and all that. :whistle

The self righteousness of Hearts and Patrick is embarrassing. Trying to take the moral high ground the way they are condemning the clubs who voted in self interest.

Do they really think we believe they wouldn't have voted the same if they weren't shite enough to find themselves bottom of the league?

You will all be there soon enough to to hear and condone sectarianism coming from the North Stand and the Stand for St Mirren children.

Sit and enjoy the Season and watch as Bigotry rules supreme by winning the Title for the 35th year in a row.

Complicit in corruption.

Shull logic, two options.

1. Completely give up on your football team, don't go to games, don't support them, don't give them money

2. Condone sectarianism and be complicit in corruption.

Imagine being so raging at people supporting a football team lol. Kick your unhealthy habit that is BAWA you're not turning any SMFC fans away from supporting our brilliant club.  :D

Shull is not angry at the club, the OF or any of the 42 clubs. He made a conscious decision that when his daughter stopped wanting to go, he stopped going and he spends time with her doing non football things. Personally, I commend him for that. But.. He is visiting his internal rage at the change through constant ranting on here. Time will pass, his little girl will start going places with friends and, unless his pride stops him, he will be back.

I have never  condoned sectarianism.. That is a pathetic remark to make.

You will condone it if you sit at St Mirren Park beside the sectarian morons

And allow your Team to play against Celtic and Sevco.

Why bother going ?

We ain't going to win the league.

For the 35th Season in a row, Sectarianism FC will triumph.
