Quite surprised at that! Any ‘second generation’ Italians? A Cardosi ever play in the reserves, for example?

Or a Parducci or a Jaconelli?

Anyone mind Jaconelli's café in Johnstone?  Now they served good ice cream, now they served good ice cream indeed

Tom...

Or a Trentos or Izzis from Renfrew... ??

Trento was his first name, Girasoli was the surname, good Cafe on the main drag just past Porterfield Road.

Izzis was owned/run by Silvio Izzi, big garage down at the Ferry.

Both had great Ice Cream and I worked for them both in my early Teens.

Al Pacini's.

Think that was his brother Aldo.

I know two of his children Giulio and Genni well, as they a lived a few houses up from my parents.

Giulio was running the shop when it changed hands a few years ago.

It was a  Giulio I worked with in Glenburn around 1971. Also worked with Dominic Girasoli on the Gallowhill run just before that.

Used to be a Trento Van outside my school, St. Mirins,  at lunchtime and I would jump in and give a hand.

Ah....memories.

The Giulio I'm referring to wasn't born in 1971.😄

I mind their dug better, a fecking wolf

It was a gentle giant.

They used to walk it round the golf course and everybody gave it a wide berth.

She was called Bianca, because of its coat colour.
