It would seem that former Man City/Norwich City/Stoke City/QPR  striker Mike Sheron is Nathan's father.

Given that Mike Sheron was playing for QPR in October 1997, when Nathan was born, it would seem unlikely that Nathan was born in Cape Verde, and most likely Whiston is his birthplace.

Looks like Wiki is correct and Soccerbase wrong, in terms of place of birth. Seems Southport, whom he was on loan to, stupidly fell into the Soccerbase trap too.

Born in the Cape Verde islands, Nathan began his career at the Liverpool FC academy, before joining Fleetwood Town in 2016.was on loan with National League North side Chorley for the second half of last season, making five appearances.

Not much difference between Cape Verde and Whiston mind you.:whistle

Aye.  Smarty-pants!  :)

We know where it is - but how did it get there?

Subduction in all likelihood...

That was my first thought.

Used to be beside the Canary Islands, but set sail south.
