Blue Bigots v Saints

To the names of Rudi Skacel and Leigh Griffiths may be added Morelos. Easy to score against us. Despite radio Clydes pundits making more excuses for us than the Daily Mail for Johnson, the score line tells it all. From what I could gather, no shots at goal, although with the poor excuse for a centre forward we have, it wouldn’t matter anyway. On now to the next so called free match and whilst I have come to expect nothing against the OF, I also unfortunately expect no fight either. Perhaps I ought to expect a barrage of abusive comments from those who are “realistic” about our place in the scheme of things.

I'm not  so sure, they were solid against Aberdeen last week, only lost 1 goal against a decent German crowd on Thursday.

Oh, the fact they played on Thursday seems to have been overlooked, so maybe they were tired today and we got off lucky.

It's true they weren't tested today so time will tell.

Killie currently giving Celtic a game, 1-1 and probably the better side.

Watching the Killie game just now. Oddly not the same gulf in class between those two sides. Not sure what that tells us.

Never ceases to amaze me the state some of our fans get themselves in when we lose at Ibrox and Parkhead.

It's not about us losing. Most of us would probably expect anything more than that to be a good day at the office. It's the total lack of any cohesive play, the inability to keep the ball or find your own player with a pass. The players looked terrified. The attitude of both players and management was awful (with one or two exceptions) both before and during the game. Adopt the same approach on Wednesday and we'll get a sore one.

Killie showing that with effort and application the ‘gulf in class’ can be significantly narrowed. They might still lose but there’s no doubt they are in this game.
Over recent years nearly everybody in the league has been able to notch something over one of the big two (usually Sevco).
Our players consistently show an embarrassing ‘wee team’ mentality. I’d take a couple of hidings for the magic of an occasional victory. We never EVER look like getting one.

Our season is defined by every game we play our manager continually deciding to give up on 18 points every season without a fight imo definitely defines us.

Killie proving the non negative option works.

Oor season not define by these games, pish being spouted again.

Killie are at home playing on a shite surface which they are used to. It give all teams with an artificial surface an advantage.

Cant compare our performance today with Killie's first half one.

Agree to both statements.

Killie played well. But we have a good goalie - thankfully.

We were in the 'danger' zone last season for a very good reason.

This season we have arguably strengthened the defence - but are weaker up front.

The jury is still out as to our midfield but we regularly come out second best in that area as well - even against the likes of Livi at home.

This does not bode well for the season ahead.

Agree with this. Foley and MacPherson were very poor today. Just watching Power and Dicker for Kilmarnock and they look bigger, stronger and hard as hell as well as being decent players

Tough season ahead.

There's no reason why our players can't be "bigger and stronger". Its down to the training regimen. That's why teams employ strength and conditioning coaches

Strong in the head as well would help. Power,  Dicker and even Burke look right up for a battle in this game.

Exactly, needing 3 touches to get a ball under controll is poor; not knowing what to do with the ball BEFORE you get it is embaraassing.
