Bud the Baker
Wrong thread for a guy who was a big football fan.... Wide range of work from Bugsy Malone to Mississippi Burning to the extremely lachrymotic Angela's Ashes..... ....and that's without mentioning Midnight Express! RIP Big Man - that night with you & Olivia deHaviland knocking back the Bovrils at Boghead will live in my memory.
antrin
my first movie-thought when I heard he was dead... was about all the childish Kellogs farting in The Road to Wellville. The critics and literati might not have liked it, but me and wee Olivia rattled oor gnashers at that. eta Not much mention of that in his Obits... tho... just got this from the Grauniad Obit. "Parker’s unbroken run of box-office winners was halted temporarily by The Road to Wellville (1994), a hit-and-miss satire about the health crazes at the turn of the 20th century, mainly perpetrated by Dr John Harvey Kellogg (Anthony Hopkins fitted with large buck teeth), he of cornflakes fame." My first, above link was just a fan letter from Critic, P Bradshaw Edited July 31, 2020 by antrin
