Mid Calder Saint
Take on board your comments but we have to he realistic we only had two bounce games against Hibs and Hamilton and have now played just four league matches new players are still gelling and we sit in sixth position with a game in hand all in all we have to be pleased so far. Am definitely worried about performance levels,as for 45 minutes against livvy was bad and 90 minutes against gers was awful to watch and 2nd half performance against accies was also hard to watch and a think we only played ok for about 25mins against county,a do no stadium is empty and not the same but our level of performance has me worried a also believe Baird should get his chance on sat and hopefully Dennis start as junior has had his chances last season and this season so time for us to step it up a bit more

Stewart is the one who should have pulled out of the tackle, as he was always going to be second best. A strikers challenge if I've seen one.

What would you have done - let Stewart get there first? 2 hours ago, munoz said: Stewart is the one who should have pulled out of the tackle, as he was always going to be second best. A strikers challenge if I've seen one. Gentlemen, after having watched this hunners of time there's more in favour of Shaughnessy getting to the ball than Stewart. Apologies. It still doesn't get away from the fact it could have been a leg breaker, albeit with, IMO, no intent. No intent isn't a get out of jail free card I'm afraid. As I said above, it's all irrelevant, matters closed and we'll need to get on with things.
Cookie Monster
Having looked it again from all the available angles I believe he has a case for the Red to be rescinded.Ross actually takes a swipe of fresh air that puts his leg in a place that couldn't have been foreseen. So it was Ross that actually endangered Joe with his actions rather than the other way about.PS, has anyone mentioned the late tackle on the touchline for St Mirren seconds before that wasn't given?
Ayrshire Saints
I seem to recall a game (league down I think) at Love St so some time ago when I think an opposing player was sent off after intervention from a 4th official probably not long after they were introduced. Beyond those hazy recollections very little actual details.
Mid Calder Saint
Fairly sure it was a match v Hearts when Michael Stewart was sent off following ref's discussion with 4th official I seem to recall a game (league down I think) at Love St so some time ago when I think an opposing player was sent off after intervention from a 4th official probably not long after they were introduced. The game in hand will be lost as always against Celtic. I never accept this so called excuse of players having to “gel”. They are professional footballers, it’s their sport, they don’t need to learn something new. That’s what training is for. I’m afraid I agree with the chap who has said we’ve not played well this season so far. Two scrappy wins, a tanking and a lucky draw against Ross County. Next up , a team we have always struggled against. Need a vast improvement. Oh, and a centre forward.

New players do need time to gel on the training pitch is not the same as a match day scenario anyone starting in a new place takes time to bed in. As for saturday they have looked rather poor insipid at the back. I will settle for some scrappy wins( would you rather we lost or drew them) these are games we may well have lost in the past this season we havent 7 points on the board is a good start a platform to build from. And i believe we brought a new striker in last week we are not in the market for another its a winger JG is looking at
