Not true we played them in the early years of the Premier League then sponsored by Fine Fare. And the standard of football was indeed a fine fare. Much better than today’s game. Andy Ritchie was at his finest back then for Morton. Such was his stature in the game he even won the sports writers award for best fitba player in 1979 as he topped the goal scoring charts that season.

No denying Morton had a decent team back then

Not just Andy Ritchie

Jim Tolmie,Joe McLaughlin, Neil Orr,Bobby Thomson, John McNeill and Jim Holmes were of good standard

I remember there wasn't that big a deal about the Derby game from our point of view from the fans

Games against the Old Firm we got ourselves up for and sang about beating them

That changed later on when we had a poor team and down a division Morton started to get mentioned on our songsheet

Good to see Obika back in the starting lineup. Still is our best option for goals at the club.

While a victory is all that matters, I’m hoping for more.

Good performance.
Confidence boosting goals for our misfiring strikers (esp Dennis).
Run out for Flynn.
More game time for new signings.

5-1 victory (Dennis 2, Obika, Cammy & Connolly)

Ok, having seen the team (!?!?) I need to change the goal scorers:

Obika, Junior 2, Dennis, McAllister

No Flynn and 3 of your scorers don't start either.

His goals more than contributed to us staying up last season.

Aye Munoz but if he took half the chances that were laid on for him we would not have been in a relegation situation. But nothing is going to change your opinion nor mine.
