Luckily Lyness looks a decent backup option with Jak out for afew.

Overall still happy with the team just need some consistency and we could kick on

With all the fixtures in Feb there are going to be other teams who have nights like this.

JG mixed it up a wee bit to rest some and that's the right thing to do - just hope the tactics on Saturday are spot on and we do over Killie

One mistake by JDH led to our downfall tonight - but up till then there was not much in it.

Having said that, JDH was still one of our better players tonight.

But one guy who has been consistently good all season - Jamie McGrath.

Don't agree. I thought that was one of his poorest games.

With Livingston being 10 points ahead of us now kicking on will have to be keeping this 6th place.

The three key points.

Poor back pass from JDH. Very rash tackle from Alnwick.

Poor marking from Tait.

Poor defending from Fraser.

Despite all that Hibs looked very ordinary.

A chance missed.

Plus points?

McGrath had another great game.

We only suffered a one goal deficit.

McGrath, Connolly and Obika combined well for our goal.

We move on to the next game.

kick on as in holding 6th place and perhaps slowly catch if we can get some consistency , we have 2 games in hand so potentially only 4 points behind Livi which is not insurmountable but a big ask if we keep blowing hot and cold

I think the criticism of Tait is a bit over the top.  The player was always in front of him which is difficult with a straight hit ball.  Now I say this having watched the game with a mix of soft focus and fairly constant buffering, so much so the Saints TV finished at least five minutes after FT on the web chat?

Livi’s run is just getting ridiculous. Surely to f**k they can’t keep this up.

Must be jotters time for McInnes now surely.

It's certainly beyond impressive.

They don't get the credit they deserve, not exactly Liverpool but they get results, even when they're not at 100%

Not a bad situation.

It's a mystery how Aberdeen and Hibs are so far ahead of us points-wise.

Less so with Livi - they have been far more consistent than anyone else - other than Sevco.

We should be aiming to make up ground on Aberdeen and Hibs for the rest of the season - Livi are beyond reach by the looks of it at present.

Early season form from us, if you care to remember, was honking.

I don't think he is that great - He has had 2 good games and a number of ok ones, but quite a few not so good too

Agreed.  I keep hearing though that he was Ross County captain so he must be great ? He's a full back that can't stop balls into the box FFS.

Thought we did not bad in second half despite being a man down, got up the park and scored a brilliant goal.  Tonight's defeat was entirely avoidable, all down to our mistakes.
