Ross County v St Mirren, Wed 21/4

Recommended Posts

I think we get the draw we need to guarantee safety. Probably an ugly 0-0.

If Killie also fail to win we can only finish as low 9th meaning of the last three games will be stress free... And allow us to focus on winning the cup

I’m surprised anyone would even mention needing a point to be safe.

We are definitely safe, we will not be in bottom two.

So, Erwin up front on his own or partnered with Dennis if we go two up top, with Brophy and Quaner on the bench along with Henderson ?

I think County will struggle with the pace of Connolly and trickery of Durmus and McAllister so, even with a depleted squad, I think we should be too good for them, although we’ll probably be relying on the midfield for the goals.

2-0 away win

Big Yogi will have them well fired up for this one. I think it's going to be an ugly bruising encounter.

FFS it's a game fitba, no a boxing match. Calm down wee man!

I think we are safe as well - it's exceptionally unlikely that Killie/Ross C will win 4 and we will lose 4 but it's still a possibility.

That possibility goes tonight if either Ross C or Killie don't win which I think is likely.

Hopefully all moot by 10pm tonight

It's good to see Henderson get a start

writing is on the wall for McAllister if he is not getting one in such a sparse squad, sad really as he offered a lot of promise

And delivered very little. He was signed on a 3 year deal. I’d imagine he is one of our highest earners. Disappointing return on investment.

Think he has the ability McAllister but no confidence and has no heart whatsoever. Absolute pussy of a player..

From what I understand, he’s amongst the highest earners. At least he was when he signed. I base this on him and his family being friends of a friend.

I still think he offers something - just not consistent enough, which is the issue.

Nice to see the young lad getting a start. The academy system has delivered a few gems over the years. Let’s hope he’s another...

He has the ability but confidence as you say is an issue and doesn’t always seem to give it 100%. In truth, I don’t see him becoming a regular starter for us due to the above.

Fitness is one of McAllister's biggest issues. He has only lasted 90 mins twice in 2 years. Easily pushed off the ball and does not track back as he is not fit enough. Talented guy but fitness and strength has stopped any progress.

Ability (and he's not shown much of it) is no use if you don't have heart and a work rate. Rightly hooked at halftime and one we should be certainly looking to offload.
