Ok.............

Existing paving slabs, a considerable amount, all removed.

20 holes, 2 feet deep dug and substantial anchoring bolts cemented in. (It WON'T blow away)

Floor joists fixed into position and floor insulation being laid as I type.

Not really got target dates but 65" Tv already purchased, along with slim wall mounting bracket.

Additional Sky Q box purchased.

Glass fronted fridge purchased.

Settee's ordered.

Bar sketched out, currently got someone looking at suitable hardwood top.

Bar stools bookmarked, waiting till things are in place to confirm space/size.

Optics bookmarked.

Basically bought as much as we feel we can safely purchase with other stuff to be bought when the key items are in place.

Electrician arrived yesterday, got a few questions for him today.

He said the Firestick works of the USB port, no need for it to be plugged in, it disnae.

He also said the Sky Q box "works" using Bluetooth...................therefore doesn't need to be joined to the TV, I don't think it does and certainly would prefer a hard wired connection.

A big black cable poking through the roof in the hall, to be joined to the mains................. not very pleasing on the eye, I'll assume some trunking will be fitted to make this less visually annoying.

That apart, all looking good. :thumbs2

Dunno about the sky box but the firestick should, in theory, work from a specific USB on the TV - it is usually marked which port supplies power. I mean, all USB ports can supply power but I think these ones are set up to supply extra (or something like that). From experience I know it's a bit of a hit and miss which devices will work and which still need plugged in. I've yet to get a firestick to work without also being plugged in but, in theory, it can (and Amazon say it can).

MY mistake the Firestick is an HDMI connection, which doesn't have power.

I could get an adaptor but I'll just stick to having it plugged into the mains.

So it is, you'd think I'd have realised that, too early in the morning. :hammer

HDMI provides power (not much though) so you can run some things off of it, but obviously not firesticks.

I asked a question last week but none of yous took me up on it………

What about a toilet?

Sorry, never seen your question.

Some folk do, some don't.

Undecided what to do but likely to do an organic urinal (is there such a thing?) for the folk who can pee standing up.

Dig a soakaway & divert the downpipe from the roof to a water butt for flushing purposes.

If you need to sit down for the loo, go to the house.

The morning after the night before.
Had a couple of pals round to watch the match last night & after a quick tidy up.....
Just got a couple of loose ends to sort out (stain/paint/wax the bar)
Was a good wee night last night, the first of a few to come.
Faraway Saint, you got any photo's of your build yet?
Cheers [emoji16]

My wife's been taking pictures on a daily basis.

I'm away this weekend, will dig a few out when I get home. 👍

Plasterer had a bad day yesterday, his mix somehow got contaminated with something gritty do wasn't smooth, had to remove it and will be back on Monday.
