Callum Gilhooley
I think I’d be tempted to remove the Digby Brown logo carefully and have a “sky-view strip “. Who knows , in years to come these limited editions might be worth a Bob or two 🤔😎

Gosport Buddie
Question for those that bought the shirt instore. Did the Digby Brown logo have grey marks on it making it look about 6months old rather than brand new? Just received mine in the post and the standard is crap so it's going back. Just wondered if they've sent the inferior ones in the post hoping some don't get returned
Mainstand Sweary Mob
Ordered 1 for my 7yo son. Got delivered today and this is it out the bag. Not been on him as he is at school. I was going to keep to take in for his shirt to be printed. I feel I'll be going in to exchange for a better quality one since it was £35 and hopefully get a better quality one printed for him. I get it they had to get around the whole skyview issue, but who the f**k signs off on shirt production before a sponsor contract is signed rather on a verbal agreement.Edited to add - I have emailed the sales address from the order confirmation to see if I can bring it and exchange it at the next home game for him.

Heard they are quite good at getting you compensation.

I ordered two of different sizes to make sure I got one that fit. Always planning on returning 1 and taking the hit on postage. I will be returning both as they're both like this. I reckon those bought in store were decent quality since this issue only seems to be arising today as ones get delivered in the post. Probably hoped that people would just accept this shite effort Edited August 17, 2021 by Gosport Buddie Adding text
Scott-Leeds
Scott-Leeds, that's a shame, though I understand your reasons. I'm waiting to get myself a shirt, but I won't hold my breath! In fairness to the club we should acknowledge that: - we've just changed owners - there's a global pandemic - the shirt sponsor pulled out at the last minute - the club shop's just been taken over I agree that part of it is down to mismanagement, but I think it'd be unfair to not acknowledge the above factors. Someone will have to now acknowledge the kits as I suggested weeks ago are shite quality with new sponsor ironed over old sponsor being returned already by multiple people!!!
shull
Maybe the Club should just take the hit and offload the Tops for free and start preparing to sell next Season's Tops in time for the Spring. Obviously, proper Contracts with compensation clauses written In, just in case.
Gosport Buddie
Sad thing is, this is the best kit for a few years, and had it been the intended Skyview logo I'd have been more than happy. The quality of the ones I received is very good apart fae the Digby Brown logo obviously

For a lot of supporters, buying stuff from the club isn't just about owning a product, it's about giving money to the club to move forward.

They’ll definitely have to accept a hit for poor quality merchandise.Consumer rights will easily cover this.Charge top whack and knowingly sell substandard products then you are wide open to consumers rights.

My point is fans that don't want the club to take any sort of hit, self included. It isn't great the situation with the kits but I can live with seeing an old logo inside the shirt where no one will see it when it's actually being worn. The want for a financially strong St Mirren far outweighs any will I would have to be compensated, many fans will have the same views. That also extends to season tickets and anything else regarding the club.

Don’t think the issue with them is seeing the old logo inside but more so the condition of the new logo having lines through it.
Gosport Buddie
I appreciate that we don't want the club to lose money but I wouldn't have taken this top instore so why should I accept it through the post? Should never have passed any form of quality control. 2 received today and both like this

Roll out any old shit, provide a poor service, and you don’t need to justify or explain any decision to the fans under the banner “Look you helping the club so don’t moan”
alanb
I wonder who came up with this solution to the sponsor's logo issue. Joma ? SMFC ? or sportswear supplier with years of experience in this field recently returned to the fold Whoever it was no where near good enough quality control or customer service looking at pictures posted earlier If shop bought are better quality that's even worse for mail order customers

I ordered online but picked it up in the shop when it was ready. I wore mine on Sat and it’s been washed and come out fine. The Skyview logo is actually part of the fabric of the shirt (like it was in recent years) rather than a transfer, so the Digby Brown stuff isn’t a transfer on top of a transfer if that makes sense? Certainly can’t blame Pitch Pro for any of this, it’s a shambles of a situation to fall out so spectacularly with our main sponsor. Will be interesting to hear exactly what happened but I’d be surprised if it doesn’t end up in court.

The new merchandise supplier were probably instructed by the club to proceed with a cover up job, but I’d imagine they would have raised concerns with the club about the likely outcome. Maybe then new merch supplier should have been more forceful in expressing their concerns and look after their reputation (previously good), if your scenario is true. Given the delay, I had thought strips had been returned to Joma for manufacturer's alterations. I note Div's recent post on the type of previous logo and cover up Edited August 17, 2021 by alanb
Mainstand Sweary Mob
I have received nothing back yet from my earlier email to them and photo evidence of just opening a bag. I hope I can exchange it at the Fakes game and hopefully get the boys name and number on the back of a better quality top considering the price.
