I also love the dismissive attitude.

You literally asked 'Has anyone got any long-term concerns as I've not seen one?'

I posted one. One that in my opinion is a legitimate and potentially very costly long-term concern and you instantly went along the lines of 'Pffft that's not a long-term concern or even a concern at all' and then followed up by having a wee moan about how other people can't accept differing opinions without a shred or irony or self-awareness.

I just think you are deliberately missing the point now, so this is where I bow out.

I should really know better than to ever engage you in any sort of conversation TBH, more fool me.

Ah okay, I think some crossed wires here... fair enough.

You have that long-term concern that (correct me if I'm wrong) some of the clubs staff may be paid by the Kibble instead of St Mirren & that could link into their capability & competence to do the jobs assigned to them. That's fine, I personally don't agree with it and think someones capability to do the job is linked to that alone, not who pays them but as you say, perfectly legitimate to have that opinion. 👍

Baz is a Superfan. He seems to think that everything is a bed of roses. The gentleman who drove 1000miles last night said the last time he felt as low about St Mirren was after the Hammarby game. I raise him the LC final 2010.

I felt angry and annoyed leaving the stadium last night.

St Mirren have lost revenue  & experienced staff. But they have also lost long standing supporters & experienced staff as a result of the last few months. The first point area can be addressed over time, but losing supporters for ever is appalling. You can’t quantify how much of a loss that may be. Very sad.

Yet another one that confuses defending the club and situation with claims of superiority. Basically saying, anyone that doesn't jump to Armageddon scenarios about SMFC is claiming to be a better fan. Utter nonsense.

Well I think that gentleman is overreacting but AGAIN, that's just my opinion.

What long standing fans have walked away because of a difficult summer as we change our operating models? I'm sorry but this is also a MASSIVE overreaction to the situation.

They believed that a viable business could operate in a competitive leisure market by staffing it with some experienced staff and Kibble trainees, here wait a minute? ..........

Don’t worry Baz to the rescue….

Like @djchapsticks I’m done conversing with Baz. I’m out. I’ve said enough last night and today. I’m pretty disillusioned with what is happening at the club. The meeting last night was requested by SMiSA members to ask the SMiSA board and SMiSA club board reps to provide answers. No results of the pre-meeting survey were produced. Many questions left unanswered.

It’s a shite state of affairs. And all the fresh air from Baz won’t make any fcuking difference.

The 1000mile fan is in Baz eyes just a moaner. He has no right to feel aggrieved about the accumulation of these minor changes to club structure.

If he was a true fan he should just accept mediocrity, hand over his cash (if they had a place to buy tickets) and be grateful that SMFC is there as another vent for his frustration.

As fans  we have no right to question the professionalism, commercialism and competence of our club. After all you would think we owned the place.

That's now around half a dozen people on this thread alone that have made up points about me. That absolutely is not my view and the person has every right to be aggrieved. My opinion is that there has been a big overreaction considering the situation. This is a foreign concept to some on here but I'm also allowed opinions on SMFC subjects.

The rest of the post is also utter nonsense & I have in no way, shape or form given these views on how all St Mirren fans should act.

Really?

So what did you mean when you told djchapstick, and I quote,

"you'll just have to accept that."?

It sounds like you were telling him how to act, but then again, you never say what you mean or mean what you say... always a misunderstanding of others.

He would just have to accept I hold a different opinion. This was very clear from the post.

Is this a deliberate attempt from you to stir things up by selecting part of a post or do you genuinely not have the capability to understand such clear wording?

Bazil on the shirt issue you stated (paraphrasing) that people should just accept the substandard shirt warts and all as the money was going to the greater good.. I would say in isolation that you dictated how a fan should act.

All fans are allowed their opinion. And more so those opinions should all be heard irrespective to what they are. Not shouted down as moaners, over reaction, trouble makers or whatever narrative you want to spin. A competent CEO/Chairman/GM should be able to take all of the opinion/complaints on board and provide a response to allow the moaners (your words) the chance to change their opinion. Or accept they are correct.

Dress it up as you wish but the workings at the club at the moment are a shambles. They are so bad that even JN could not provide comment on half of the stuff last night. (In danger of being a moaner. JN still needs to convince me that he is up to the job)

With the club now entering a new phase it scares the living daylights out of me that people like you are possible anywhere near the inner sanctum of the club. Successful businesses and successful people do not accept middle of the road, mediocrity or teething problems. They learn from their mistakes and build on their success. they also don’t shout down the people that are their customer and core means of income.

In the real commercial world some of the issues around shirts, tickets, emergency lights, catering, stewards and the training ground works would have result in a number of P45’s. But what do i know your the expert in business

This is wrong, here are the quotes from me to prove it. At no point did I ever say people should accept substandard, I said there WILL be people like myself that are happy to give the club a pass on the issues as income for the club trumps the shirt sponsor problem. I proved BEK wrong earlier on the non-disclosure side & he deflected instead of putting his hands up. Will you go on record and accept you are wrong in your claim about me here?

My opinion is some people have massively overreacted, that's a perfectly valid opinion and I would wager not a unique one. Why is it okay for opinions that are less flattening on the club but not opinions less flattering on some fans? My belief is the club will move on from this and the partnership will be a beneficial one, in the same vein of thought, I honestly believe there are some St Mirren fans that it will never be good enough for. These people are demonstrated on BAWA over years, LPM, Dicko, GOW, BEK to name a few. It's not in the power of any man, woman or beast to satisfy these posters regarding the operations of SMFC.

Shambles - I disagree, some issues and frustrations for sure but "shambles" is excessive, again my opinion.

I'm nowhere near the "inner sanctum of the club" this comes up every few years and I point out it isn't true. But again a contrasting view, I would hate to see where we would be if people as negative as you were decision makers at the club. Probably still up for sale languishing in the Championship would be my bet. Also, who is accepting mediocracy or teething problems? We are nowhere near the end of this journey and transition. How many successful businesses do you know that were sold and built up with zero issues in a 3-4 month period? Can't imagine many. Completely unrealistic to expect no butting of heads during operational model changes. You're living in a fantasy world.

Many of the problems you quote at the end pre-date the Kibble, if you're dishing out P45s due to lack of a magic wand to sort all the legacy issues overnight, we can see why you are indeed not an expert in business.

Last night there were certainly a lot of valid issues discussed and there are points that the club need to get better at (and quickly) but I also wouldn't blame the chairman for some eye rolling at some of the behaviours of certain St Mirren fans. It might not be a popular opinion with a vocal minority but it's my opinion.

Indeed, a waste of time and effort.

My "three replies maximum" rule with him has proved a great decision.

He's really not worth any more.

Your last part is bang on the money. Far too many chiefs not doing anything constructive.

Reading the notes surprised that the Chairman on a number of occasions threw Tony under the bus. If Tony is the issue then the board should deal with it. Use Tony on his strengths not as the convenient scapegoat. Do we now have another Master in Chief with a Teflon Suit.

Disappointed in JN approach to last nights meeting. He could easily have surmised the questions that were coming and had clear defined answers. If he was unable to answer the questions then why have the PR Stunt.

Nothing positive came out of yesterday meeting. Even by GA offering yet another nonproductive PR stunt was recognition that animosity was still high.

Remember when it used to be all Cheesys fault ?, apparently now it’s all Tony’s.

Like the others you have bored the tits off me. (As usual)

Your response on this thread like many others is defending the Kibble input. At no point in this thread have I mentioned Kibble or critiqued them. Strange that you decide to respond that way. Hmmm i think that tells a story

As for business. I gave you more credit than your due and i apologise. Your just a yes man for a social enterprise.

Another one not willing to put his hands up to his mistakes and misinformation about me even when physically quoting the error. 👍

Defending the Kibble, St Mirren and everything in-between (this is NOT the same as claiming everything is good right now). I must have missed the memo where defending the club you support is bad.

Think we established your inability to understand the business world. No need to revisit.

Defending the Kibble and defending SMFC is not the same entity. I think your getting confused.

You deflected as to why you continually defend the Kibble even when they are not part of the argument.

By chance were you a “Dead & Alive” fan in the 80’s. Or were you too much of a dweeb

You brought up non-disclosure agreements on here, neither you or I said it was on them being brought-up on this topic, Slash even admitted it was based on you brining them up.

I did not "state" in anyway that people should just accept the substandard shirts.

The above is true, it is contrary to what you and BD claimed about me. I would expect you both just to admit you were wrong and move on, neither of you seem big enough to do that.

Yet again something I didn't claim.

I disagree that Kibble are not part of this argument, the gentleman that travelled a thousand miles (who you mentioned) & discussed feeling the worst about the club in decades, my assumption based on the conversations last night was this is at least in part down to St Mirren ownership which includes the Kibble. If this is wrong I will happily admit to being wrong (show you how it's done)

Never heard of them but I was born in the 80s, hopefully that's a good enough excuse... Take it you're not Calvin Harris?
