I too moved away from Paisley at a similar time, but returned.

I don’t believe you have attended many games against the bigot brothers in the last 20 years. Perhaps the odd major cup final or semi final at Hampden.

However from my personal opinion the toxicity associated with both sets of “supports” attracted to these two clubs is far worse than the behaviour we experienced going to Saints games in the 70’s and 80’s.

It really has a dark undercurrent associated with these teams and their ultras. These groups are worse than the ICF or the CSC casuals of the 80s’. Not only are they violent and abusive to other football supporters but there is a “political” aspect to them that is ripping this country apart. Look at the last Independence referendum. How many countries with our natural and economic resources turn down the opportunity to leave behind a ball and chain of Westminster that is having one clusterf**k after another.

A country totally divided on sectarian beliefs. It is fcuking disgraceful.

Lafferty has been banned for 10 matches. He has been constantly abused because he is an Northern Irish Protestant. The public persona is that he comes across as a typical overpaid footballer. But because he played for Rangers he is fair game to be abused every where he goes because he played for “them”..

Neil Lennon was sent bullets in the post. He played for the other side.

And that’s exactly the issue here.  

Our goalkeeper is Northern Irish. Our manager is Irish. Neither played for Rangers or Celtic so they go scot free.

It’s fcuking ridiculous that these two clubs get hammered by UEFA but the SFA, the SPFL and the police do fcuk all.

They are all scared of tackling the issue.

Could you imagine the worldwide outcry if there two supports were singing about killing Blacks, Asians, Gays, Lesbians, disabled groups?

But no it’s ok - it sells the “biggest and oldest derby in the world”

Fcuk them all. It’s time to stop this NOW.

I'm not an "apologist" for the Glasgow Derby teams, I was having a bit of a joke and you pretty much s*at your pants over it. 

If it was up to me, they would never play in Scottish football tournaments again, I would love for England or some sort of "Atlantic league" to do us a favour and take them. But I consider myself a realist and know we are where we are regarding Scottish football.
