Meatball and Dorman to get the midfield going and McAvennie to tuck them away

ETA and unpopular as it may be a pre Currants Ferguson who for us was magnificent in his short time.

No Ferguson, no Scottish Cup. He was a top player for us in his relatively short Saints career.

Who was your favourite player of the Fergie era, Faraway Saint ?

Were you at the match in January 1977 when we won the title after beating Dundee United at Love Street ?

Magical Fergie's Furies, remember them, Faraway Saint ?

I never knew titles were handed out after that 4-1 win. You getting confused in your old age?

We played United in the Scottish cup and in typical Saints fashion we were knocked out in the next round.

We beat Dundee FC in the league 4-0 at Dens to win the 1st Div championship.

Fans on the pitch at Love Street as St Mirren win Division One in 1976/77.

League was won at Dens Park in April not Love St in January 1977.

I know

Every Saints fan knows.

I was there on that April night with many others.

Faraway Saint wasn't and he hasn't a clue about Fergie's Furies. That is the point.

Do keep up. You missed the point.
