So, as expected by most people, it's Inverness in the play off's for Arbroath.

Nothing in it, the odd goal will, IMO, be the difference over the two games.

Recent form shows it's a tight call, with Arbroath scoring in almost every game so certainly an evens bet.

Roll on next week, bit of a shit journey & kick off time for a Tuesday night for the Arbroath support.

Tickets - Arbroath vs Inverness Caledonian Thistle - Friday 13th May 7.45pm kick off
We are delighted to announce ticket prices for the upcoming Premiership Semi-Final Play-Off second leg match at Gayfield on Friday 13th May with a 7.45pm kick off.
In what has been such a memorable season already, it could get even better in the coming week with the opportunity to book a place against the 11th placed club from the Premiership in the Play-off Final.
At the beginning of the campaign, many could be forgiven for thinking we may have potentially been involved in a play-off at the opposite end of the Division, and this is where we have to put our hands up and apologise to our Season Tickets holders.
We always try and give our supporters the best value for money that we can offer, and we did advertise that end of season play-offs would be included in your season ticket.
However, we don’t think anyone could have predicted what has been such an incredible season that we now have potentially four matches to get the chance to play in the top flight of Scottish football by qualifying for the promotion play-offs by finishing second.
With the ties being staged by The SPFL we are sorry to announce that Season Tickets are not valid for the match. The Premiership play-off is under a different ruling to the Championship play-off and unfortunately we can’t offer supporters admission on their season ticket.
However we have managed to secure very attractive ticket prices to allow as many fans as possible to attend the match at Gayfield and get right behind Dick and the boys.
We have been overwhelmed by the wonderful support shown by our fans throughout this campaign with the purchasing of season tickets and match by match tickets and we cannot thank you all enough for getting right behind the team and digging deep into your pockets once again to be present for the play-off competition.
We have worked hard to make the admission prices as accessible and as attractive as possible and we cannot wait to see you all on Tuesday and Friday next week.
Tickets for our second leg Semi Final Playoff match against Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Friday 13th May at Gayfield Park, with a 7.45pm kickoff will be on sale online and from the Club Shop from 10am tomorrow morning.

0-0 half time.

Good performance from Arbroath, Inverness did hit the bar from far out, think the goalie got a slight touch, but the best chances still have fallen to Arbroath.

Arbroath been winning the midfield battles, better possession.

Still, games wide open, just need a wee bit of class.

Full time, 0-0, both teams could have sneaked a goal but, as I said, nothing really between the teams.

All to play for on Friday night.

A tragic attendance tonight, just over 2,000 with 400 Arbroath supporters.

There will be more at Gayfield on Friday night.

If Arbroath make the play off final would they rather play Dundee or St J? 🤔

Always going to be a tough game no matter who it could be.

The team from the top league, IMO, always has a slight advantage as they have a bigger budget and are playing against better teams, albeit losing quite often.

The English approach to relegation/promotion is a much better idea, you go down if you're in the bottom position and the teams that are trying to get promoted are playing teams from their own league.

Anyhow, one game at a time, got to take care of Inverness, and it's still in the balance.

PS Probably St Johnstone as they don't score many goals.

The beauty of it all really is that Arbroath really haven't got anything to lose. Its not belittling their part time status in the slightest as it has been highlighted this season that their commercial side has grown along with a really good down to earth manager who can get the best out of his team shows what can be achieved.

For Inverness a loss on Friday would mean another season of juggling finances yet again to stay full-time and hopefully go up and for whoever Arbroath may meet in the final should they get there the fear of relegation and the financial implications of it certainly would play into Arbroaths favour imo.
