The cost of living is going to shoot up and there will be massive amounts of redundancies - after which you blame the Westminster government and THEN hold the referendum! If that weren't the case the tories would have dumped us years ago. And. It was NOT labelled as a "once in a lifetime" vote. The reason some called it an opportunity is because they felt they wouldn't be "allowed" another chance. The whole situation has been turned on its head. Quite cannily, Sturgeon has begun making her case by using examples from similary-sized, challenged, or blessed countires who rate hogher than the UK for fairness and prosperity. A much more enterprising and evidence-based approach than the last time. Anyway, name me one country that is not part of some kind of union.
