faraway saint
Deborah James, an ordinary woman with an extraordinary outlook, has finally passed away. Cancer, despite a brave fight, has taken her at the age of 40. Her very public battle has, hopefully, raised awareness of bowel cancer. Very sad. Callum Gilhooley
Very very sad, Far too young to be taken and leave behind two young kids. My wife lost a Niece in very similar circumstances a couple of years ago , died age 40 leaving two teenagers behind. She knew she was terminal but spent her last months campaigning successfully to have a specific cancer drug made available through NHS Scotland , hoping her fight could help others after she’d gone. Horrible illness , RIP Deborah James
faraway saint
JUst seen an item on Deborah's mother, and the legacy her daughter has left behind. £7.5m, but, more importantly, an increase in people getting diagnosed earlier. Everytime I see her, Deborah, it brings a tear, the long battle, the drain on her to try to keep going and ultimately her sad passing.
