shull Posted July 23, 2025 Author Report Posted July 23, 2025 The knockout stages in this tournament has been exhilarating . Heading for penalties again Quote
shull Posted July 26, 2025 Author Report Posted July 26, 2025 Sunday The Final England v Spain Kick Off 17.00 COME ON ENGLAND Quote
shull Posted July 26, 2025 Author Report Posted July 26, 2025 Very difficult match for England. They will be underdogs against a talented Spanish team. Anyway, best wishes and good luck to the English ladies. Quote
shull Posted July 27, 2025 Author Report Posted July 27, 2025 Constant cheating diving by the Spanish meant they deserved to lose. Quote
Tom Blacks Left Boot Posted July 27, 2025 Report Posted July 27, 2025 I've enjoyed the Women's Euros this year, especially the knock-out stages with exciting Extra Times and penalty shootouts. Back to back European Championships victories is pretty special and if it had been Scotland Women who had done it, we would have lapped it up for all it was worth so well done to England Women on their achievement. faraway saint Posted July 28, 2025 Report Posted July 28, 2025 (edited) As there was nothing else in TV yesterday I watched the whole game. Two good goals, could question the defending for the Spanish goal but a good cross and header, similar to the England goal. The penalties....... 🤣🤣🤣 Utterly pish, the last penalty apart. 4 scored from 9 attempts, not one of the 4 hit the side netting, all at a great height for the goalies. Over 34,000 for the final, not exactly overwhelming. Edited July 28, 2025 by faraway saint Quote
faraway saint Posted July 29, 2025 Report Posted July 29, 2025 Some numbers for any delusional people shouting about equality in financial terms for women's fitba. Women's euros generated 128 million in revenue and the men generated 2.5 billion. When they start generating equal amounts they'll get paid equal amounts. Quote
faraway saint Posted July 29, 2025 Report Posted July 29, 2025 Certainly can't argue this victory for England should reinforce the interest in women's football but it's interesting to note that attendances were approx 7,000 down on average last season at women's league games. Surprising TBH, maybe it's peaked although you'd think Sunday's win would see an increase, at least initially, this season. Quote

It's not surprising given he fact the quality is akin to under 16 boys football. Quote
faraway saint Posted July 31, 2025 Report Posted July 31, 2025 Delusional doesn't cover this statement. 🤣🤣🤣 Quote
StanleySaint Posted July 31, 2025 Report Posted July 31, 2025 Yeah, she's always had an inflated view of the women's game, she is also the worst pundit I've ever heard for talking in sporting clichés Quote
