Especially as Beaton is the ref. 🤣

Wonder if Collum is the 4th official?

Do you really expect a clean sheet or is this just wishful thinking?

I think it will be Saints? v 2 Motherwell.

After watching Motherwell fail to score in 2 games against I revise my prediction.

1.1 😂

It will.  Why didn't they trial it last season when it was voted in so they could start this season. Typical SPFL.

How can you introduce a new system half way through a season. What a can of worms that will unleash with the bigot brothers.

Can we get him fùcked off and get Paul Lambert?

See if this happens....could we push boat and get either Mckay or Martendale... two managers who recruit and players always give max... pretty sure SR will jump but god knows why they want him

Slightly off topic, but decided to watch some of the 3pm kick offs today on the auld dodgy tv stick…. stopped on the county v hearts game, County to their credit looked to have pushed on as a club and look a real attacking threat. Making hearts look pretty poor (maybe they are).

Hoping SR has identified his best 11 and a formation to boot… we need to start strongly against a poor Motherwell.

im gonna try stay optimistic….

really?  Who cares?

Introducing VAR mid season reflects badly on the governing body and the club delegates.

There are guaranteed to be issues that could have been resolved by VAR between now and when it’s introduced and vice versa.

This could affect who wins the league or who gets relegated.

Only idiots would agree that introducing this mid season is a good idea.

so he's really going back to Morecambe, or is his saints trackie still in the wash as Mrs Robinson is busy PA-ing

Wooooooosh!

Why would he be at Motherwells ground holding a press conference when he is the current St Mirren manager?

It is quite clearly an old image that @Callum Gilhooley posted.

Jings. Two fish on one hook Callum.

Pleased the game won't actually have any VAR decisions. Would never catch the train home.

Surprised to find I’m more up for this match than I thought I’d be.
(pre- season blind optimism)

The league cup performances weren’t great and I’m not sure the manager has decided what his best starting 11 is. Or the favoured formation.

However

I think we will play better.
Ayunga looks like he’s capable of scoring a few goals
Bacchus looks a player and Strain can cross a ball

So

putting the managerial sideshow aside

It’s the first league game of the season and, as has been pointed out already, a win could see us top the table.

if we score first we will win

2-0 or 3-1
