Objectivity of the Glasgow Herald

Recommended Posts

Article in the Herald today by  Chris Jack senior football writer about his love of Rangers and how delighted he was to introduce his step daughter to the great atmosphere at Ibrox. What chance of impartial reporting is there when the main reporter talks of his love of Rangers? At least he is honest. Think it might be a while before I read anymore of his columns.

I don’t mind which team any reporter follows and prefer when they are open about it. The sports editor will be the one deciding what space to give to the various clubs/stories. One thing I like now about the Daily Record is their regional coverage. Still OF bias but it’s less obvious, imo.

The herald's coverage of our games has been superficial at best, over the past couple of years.

Mostly the old scum and rugby union.

Used to get the Sunday Herald delivered, but stopped buying it a couple of months ago.

It is a Glasgow paper though. I don't count Paisley as part of Glasgow.

I'm surprised people still buy newspapers, not purchased one for well over 25 years.

Probably that helps me to stop dreaming about Rangers and Celtic.

My wife likes to do the crosswords and puzzles.

I do the number puzzles (keeps a pensioner's brain in trim, I hope) and skim the rest of the newspaper.

Print newspapers are definitely not value for money any more if you have a decent internet connection.

Even before the internet came along I'd stopped, 90% trash.

As you say, not even close to value for money.

I bought a Daily Record for a not well neighbour the other day and couldn’t believe it cost £1 😳

The HSS household buy the Mail + Herald on a Sun and they last us all week

I must admit that when I visit my Mother the 1st thing I do is browse her Paisley Express

Do you always go to the back page first?

Last time I bought a paper was the day after we lifted the cup in 2013.

Well…

…he can only DREAM about his Rangers, cos Rangers is deid, no longer in existence.

Don’t mock the afflicted…. I also told you.

Highly amusing as YOU never go a single day without thinking about Rangers, aye Rangers.

Afflicted, you're beyond help.

You'll carry this obsession to your grave. :byebye

I know they died. You know they died. They know they died in 2012.
They are now officially Zombies.
Get used to it.
The SPFL and SFA never removed titles so the same club myth lingers on.

Be thankful you don’t live up here and have to put up with the sectarian divide.
