Think you're being a bit severe on them.

I doubt they don't have any insulation and with rhe extreme temperatures plenty of people/businesses will have been caught out.

Irs not in their interest to have a Saturday game cancelled.

I was in the front row of the main stand at the B&Q cup final in 1994 and I was up to my ankles in water. That's not far off 30 years to get the facilities up to a decent standard.  As for extreme temperatures the two clubs who have failed to get a game on tomorrow are clearly at the madam!  It's not been that cold ffs?

Apparently the pitch is fine. Problem is burst pipes in the stand so no water nor heating. Amateurish. There was plenty of weather warnings about sub zero temperatures. Why did not not insulate pipework and leave heaters on?

or just leave a tap running straight to drain.  Cheaper than heating the place when it is empty

Football grounds should be "winterised" during extended cold periods like this.  If they had shut off the water, drained the systems and re-commissioned overnight before the match they would have saved a lot of money and avoided a rescheduling in an already congested fixture list.
