Meh. From the West stand, I couldn't see the Hearts penalty incident. Poor first half from us but the wind spoiled it for both teams. Wouldn't have replace Kwon at half time. Taylor missing the target with a free header from 6 yards is unforgivable. Toyo scored a splendid goal. Couldn't see the McMenamin penalty incident but I had already lost patience with him by that point. Not a great day at the office but we have managed top 6 again, thanks to our fantastic start to the season. Well done to all in attendance today, great to see the stands full of buddies.

A day for celebrations - well done the whole squad over the season and to the management team and backroom staff.

However, St Mirren, to most of their fans, are not a mini team from the lower reaches, who have over-achieved this and last season as has been argued by some (including SR).

Rather, we have under-achieved since the 1980s, but we should be challenging for the top six most seasons, as should a club with the catchment area of Paisley and surrounding towns.

But yes, we need to attract greater investment into the club and also persuade those so-called 'buddies' who travel outwith their local town to support the two sectarian clubs from neighbouring Glasgow, that they could get more reward out of supporting their own local team.

Maybe then, we can think about providing a stadium befitting a club in Scotland's top flight with a capacity of upwards of 12,000.

We have overachieved

Not great today but not any worse than Hearts. They got a soft penalty we got one turned down. VAR once again decided the outcome. Load of shite. Football is killing itself . Could not really give a toss about top six. We get to play Celtic and Rangers again and most of our support will boycott both games. What is the point? See a very few of you at Celtic Park next week.

Is Europe on in 5th? Presumably that relies on an OF cup win?

As long as Don's don't win cup....mind you more chance of them winning league next year

No we haven't.

My point is that St Mirren should be at least challenging for top six with our potential catchment area - your stats are out of date by the way and reflect a period when we were definately under-achieving.

You're talking  rubbish.. Hibs Don's and Well are far bigger than us..... SR is difference..... the support has never been bigger last 30 yrs .... expectation used to be stay up or have you always been deluded ... enjoy it whilst it lasts

A day of mixed emotions. Obviously disappointed with the result but delighted with another top six finish. All things considered we have deserved it over the season.
where the wheels have come off slightly including the Aberdeen game where we got the late, late win, I hope we do ourselves justice after the split as it kind of fizzled out last season.
well done to the manager and squad for the continued progress.

I apparently don't hold a monopoly in talking rubbish.

The two sectarian clubs, the two Edinburgh clubs, Aberdeen, and one of the Dundee clubs undeniably have superior resources, but after that we should be battling with the likes of Kilmarnock and Motherwell. After all, you can't always rely on turnover to guarantee success in the top six as this season has demonstrated.

The way some people talk, it's a minor miracle we're even in the top flight competing against the mighty St Johnstone, Ross County and Livingston!

Correct 100%

Being a fan owned club kind of stifles the chance of investment unless you are willing to give up some of your shares or the other main shareholders ( Kibble) invest money which I don’t think will happen anytime soon.

Very strange statement that. in what way are they far bigger than us

Not counting games against the 2 arse cheeks Motherwell's average League attendance this season is 5000

Our average is just over 6400
