Not a great performance.  Two full backs looked alright. Gogic not great but will imp rove. Boy Smith looked very slow. Big lad but slow. Fraser was awful. I know this is hobby horse of mine but he must not Be in the starting eleven. Looks completely done. Olysa nyo apart forwards looked verypoor. Mandro n barely got a kick. Hopefully this was just a pre season run out and we will improve. Not sure why so many full time players look so lacking in fitness. Will need a huge improvement for Thur sday.

Forgot to mention Iocovitty lasted six minutes and went off with what looked like a hamstring injury . See you at Christmas.

No one played badly but no one stuck out either.

The former academy boys (Taylor and Sutherland) were every bit as good as the players they replaced, but I would be surprised if they will get much chance to prove their worth as the season progresses.

Lacovitti came on during the second half but only lasted 5 minutes and came off injured with what looked like a pulled hamstring.

Perhaps Robbo knows his starting eleven for next Thursday but this wasn't obvious based on tonight's performances.

Don't do friendlies myself but my brother just off the phone. To say he wasn't impressed with any the new signings is probably a understatement he's a good judge of a player having played at a good level.  Said only Rooney looked OK when he came on... Said the best players we're our own players and young players

Personally as I said I don't do friendlies the time to judge a player is when it matters..

Agree Taylor and Sutherland did well when they came on .

One strange new tactic. At goal kicks Gogic rolls the ball across the six yard box and the goalkeeper kicks it aimlessly up the park normally to the other side. Very odd. Early days but unconvinced by goalkeeper.

Was at the Fleetwood game and will be there tonight. Be interesting to see how ready  Iacovitti is for a match. Rooney too as he looked a bit off the pace last week.

Lacovitti? Around four minutes and he's injured. A bit disconcerting given his track record.

As for the game.

A wee bit of a damp squib. Rooney looked better when he came on. T took his goal well but we're still passing the ball sideways and too slowly for my liking. I think, on the evidence of this, plus the Valur game, the Icelanders are favourites in my book.

Oh. Something else. Is anyone else concerned about our new number 1? He looked suspect at both goals and didn't fill me with confidence throughout. This might be the season we look to Urminsky.

Yet to be convinced by any of our pre season displays. We dont look fit enough and we have some questionable tactics. This nonsence with Gogic and the keeper is amateurish

Yet it was used by a few teams at the Euros.  Nothing wrong in trying it out pre-season.

At the Euros they then played out from the back, not just kicked it upfield.

Bit like the Fleetwood game , we seemed slower than Carlisle and often caught in possession. Goalie didn’t impress either. Unless a vast improvement by Thursday, fear an early exit. Hoping for much better though. 🤞🤞
