We were f**kin awesome today - Hibs were never at any stage in that game and we completely bossed it - away support were given nothing to cheer  as we passed through them and dominated play - Rooney was fantastic ( I think anyone with any knowledge could see he was a superb signing by the Gaffer )

Gogic was his usual self and lost nothing - we looked great going forward and broke quickly and with purpose and that Is so refreshing to see 

Big shout out to Taylor ( 1 scare in the second half aside )   he absolutely strolled through the game / was so calm and assured and played good proper balls out from the back / had all the Hibs forward line in his back pocket and was unruffled 

Already you can see Robbo has significantly improved on last year's squad

I have to admit I didn't see that score-line happening after the first 45. Hibs were tormenting us down our left hand side. We sorted it out after the first half and thoroughly ended up deserving our victory. As for the nonsense with VAR/no VAR and the length of time it took to sort it out. WHY? Was the ref "feart" to make decisions on his own? In saying that. His determination to book our players along with his refusal to pull Hibs' players up for very similar offences appears to suggest incompetence.

When was the last time we scored 7 goals in two high profile matches? The future looks bright for the Black and White.

So un-St Mirren-like today.

But what a treat so far this season.

Everyone is pulling their weight  from the manager and coaching staff to the players - not to mention the recruitment team and physios.

Surely the pinnacle of most Saints fans' experience

But for the "B" team organisation

Tremendous second half particularly, Hibs were a massive step up from Valur so we had to be good. Just one fly in the ointment, we must drop Ayunga, he contributes nothing. Very impressed by Brown and Idowu and Smyth when he came on. At last we have some big strong guys as well in Rooney, Iacovitti etc so won’t get bodied by the likes of Killie. Looking forward to Thursday.

Have to disagree, he closed down, he harried, he worked well with Toyosi. I am glad we can change it up with Scott and Mandron available. We have real depth of squad now and IMHO Ayunga fits in well

It was good while it lasted , being top of the leagues not for everyone.

Thought we were poor first half. Hibernian looked a bit quicker. Second half we were much  better. Brown for Tanser made a big difference.  Very good first goal. I am not a fan of Scott but He had two assists so I will shut up.   Never been overimpressed by Smyth but two very good finishes. I think I should just give up trying to evaluate players.

One other thing ........ the commitment and togetherness of the players. You can see how much they are loving it. Everyone working hard for one another, something that's been absent for almost 40 years IMO. Long may we enjoy this feelgood factor.

Superb performance although it looked as though Hibs were hungrier earlier in proceedings.  Once we took a grip of it we outplayed and out fought them.

To see Scott (albeit a sub with energy) chasing down lost causes and half chances is exactly what a paying customer (or PPV customer, in my case) should be seeing.

Great start. I wonder how many Managers Hibs will go through this season?

Surprised the attendance was so low. Hibs sold out their allocation and the East and West stands were sold out. There were empty seats behind the goal but it would need to be almost completely empty for their only to be 6,171 there.

There were a lot of pockets of empty seats peppered through the stadium so they may have added up.

There was never in a million years 1800 empty seats the same as Thursday there was never 1200 empty seats.

Especially when the club have it as a sell out , you would think folk buying tickets and not managing to make the game would sell or pass them on as many fans actually did.
