For all I don’t mind darts or snooker I can’t really think of them as sportsmen, great as they are at their craft (just my personal opinion).

I think I’d need to find places for Hoy and Redgrave and I’d certainly have Murray. I’ll ponder the other two for a while.

I'm at.................Murray (Easy for me as he's a real sporting hero of mine) :cloud9

I can see your point on darts but simply for his sublime ability time after timer time after etc..................Phil Taylor.

I'm not into running but Usain Bolt, magnificent and has a charisma into the bargain and was running without the aid of drugs.

I'll also do some thinking before my last two.

Ok, now I've been reminded it's BRITISH sportsmen I've had a think, and trying not to rely on Google.

As Stephen Hendry appeared when I was playing quite a bit of snooker, he played at the YMCA one night in a challenge match as a spotty teenager, I watched him change and dominate the game for years. His approach was something never seen before, especially after the master Steve Davis had dominated for so long.

With the Olympics currently taking place it's swayed my next choice towards Chris Hoy. A joy to watch and his dedication and hard work were an example to many that you can achieve unbelievable heights with a positive mindset.

I'm stuck for numb er 5, although it's clear I'm having trouble stepping away from Scottish sportsmen.

It's hit me that the 4 I've chosen are all people who, for some reason or another, I've, personally, enjoyed/loved watching so my final choice is David Beckham. A footballer who practiced and practiced to become a player who was one of the famous set of youngsters that Ferguson brought through and were pivotal in the rise of Manchester United.

Stood up to be counted when it mattered and has continued to be a great ambassador for the game.

Oh, and a good looking man into the bargain. :cloud9

Chris Hoy,  Ken Buchanan, Daley Thompson , Lennox Lewis and Billy Stark.

Billy Stark for me along with Donald Hunter, Tony Fitzpatrick, Lex Richardson and Frank McGarvey.

Any one of the famous Fergie's Furies could be included.
