I don't disagree about the ref however toyosi had every right to go for the ball in open play. If that had of been any other outfield player where would be no question. The goalie left the safety of his area to go for a 50/50 ball and made the foul , poor refereeing caused the yellow card as well as the goalies play acting. If toyosi had of pulled out everyone would have been questioning his desire, the ball was there to be won. The fact that the goalie got up after being "almost killed" ran back to his area before running back to take the free kick showed it was all bullshit. The ref was conned , not so much on some of the others as he could have easily gone with red for our goalies one.

I’ve not manage to catch any footage of the Olusanya yellow, does it exist anywhere ?    Any links ?

You are splitting hairs here.  I know plenty of people who "thought" they were Celtic or Rangers supporters as primary children who embraced the buddies and plenty more who moved from an area where they grew up to embrace the local team.  All valid supporters and welcome at the ground.

I agree that, in most kids formative years it seems that the emphasis is on the ersecheeks so it would be hard for a young child not to get drawn in a sort of allegiance to one or other if their parents are not died in the wool local club supporters. This obviously stems from media coverage, fair or not, and success on the pitch. I made the mistake of not directing my own son toward the light due to the amount of time I spent working away and he ended up favouring one of them. (Not to the extent of actual supporting financially). If I tell you he grew up in the late eighties and into the nineties you could work out it was the "deed club" due to their stranglehold on success during the majority of that time. As time goes by, some grow and find an affinity with their community club and turn away from the dark side, deciding instead to support a club for club's sake and NOT due to success or an underlying bigotry that, no matter what those Glasgow clubs say, celtic and rangers clandestinely support while, on the surface, condemning the behaviour. The more that take this path, the better for Scottish football.

IF you don't want to read all that then, quite simply, you're correct!

Was reading a Brann fan post on FB said we are the worst team they have ever played. can't disagree with that we were chasing shadows for 75 minutes think next week's game will be watch from behind the sofa stuff.

They were bound to say that. They had loads of chances and squandered some with our back line dealing with the rest.

We had few chances and scored one.

Catty comments about our style of play just sounds like desperation. Possession is one thing but it’s nothing without goals.

Tie is wide open!

The derogatory remarks probably stem from that one instance where they felt they were cheated. It was attack v defence, most of the game, but we played our defensive part well while they fell a little short in their final attack mode.

My father 'supported' the deed club, I say supported, never went and I assume the loose allegiance stemmed from the underlying societal bigotry, my uncle took me to Love St when I was 7 and that was that, almost 53 years later still my first love. So, despite his own preference I was allowed to follow my own path by my dad, in his defence he was at both the 59 and 87 cup finals and his last ever match was a Saints game so I like to think he was being drawn back from the dark side.

 Ah , just watched it.
originally thought that was just like a fan blog thing & didn’t watch it . Someone dm’d me the clip & I’ve now watched Eastlands post.  Absolute f**king joke of a booking . Goalie was a cheating prick and should have been the recipient of a yellow card & the officials were useless.

the video has a perfect angle showing clearly that the ref was a f**kwit and should have listened to his linesman who saw it clearly, if anything it was Toy that was fouled!!!

The lad was very unlucky not to capture the goal from a different angle too but at least he got this showing what a diving, cheating bass their goalie was.

An embarrassing situation captured by a kid from the audience... On behalf of Brann I apologize for our goalkeepers behavior in this situation. The Yellow card should have been awarded to Dyngeland and not your player.

I guess St. Mirren has already done that. It won't help however, since UEFA are not known for taking criticism very well. IF you go through tomorrow and if Toyosi gets another yellow card, he'll be excluded for the match against Astana. To be honest, the chances are slim for both incidents to occur.

I wouldn't rule out at least one of them occurring

Brann showed they are the better team. But that's something we often face here in Scotland, We won't fear you we know what were up against now, We will embrace the challenge. we're not coming to just make up the numbers

Indeed.

I'm unlikely to stick money on us after watching last weeks game but that equaliser, IMO, puts a completely different light on the match.

You and I know stranger things have happened so let's wait and see.

All you need is a draw and some luck in the pen shoot out, and the odds on an equal result is not that bad. I must however warn you about "parking the bus", as Brann are very good at playing passes in and around the opponents box. Then you'll loose for sure.

I never ever back the draw.. No sitting on the fence with me Sir..  As the lads on here will tell you I've often been accused of being far to positive on this site when it comes to the world famous Paisley Stmirren fc. A extreme opposite from elvis one of our more negative posters..  I'm feeling more and more confident the nearer we get to kick off.. so much so I've just dipped the wife's purse and stuck the lot on a 3-0 away win

Always shocks when it comes to football that's what makes the game great

And that late goal lets them know we are capable of scoring against them
