Sold out now. Hopefully Brann only bring a couple of hundred and we can sell a couple of sections in the away end again but I haven't heard that's a possibility.

I don't expect more than 4-500 travelling from Norway. At least that would surprise me a lot.

All this palaver just because we chose not to plan for a successful team when we were moving stadiums.

Surely we should have aimed for a minimum capacity of !0,000 to 12,000.

Now that we are landed with our dinky little staium we could at least investigate the viability of filling in some of the corners to accomodate a total of say 10,000  home support and 2,000 away fans allowing for suitable fan separation.

Or are we still hell-bent on planning for mediocrity?

Our home support never gets above 6000 ,so would lots of empty  seats

Exactly what I was about to say, we are doing well at the moment and our crowds are on the up but the cost of those extra seats and the maintenance of them would not be justified. I hope that one day if we continue to at least push top 6 each year then our crowds may warrant a bigger stadium but you cannot equate Cup crowds with whats required, look how many we have taken to hampden compared to a regular season.

I wouldn't count on it. I am trying to buy away tickets on Branns home page and they seem to bo sold ut. Short trip from Bergen to Paisley.

This is just our first season of the European experience in recent times and already we had a near sell-out crowd for our first league game on Sarurday against Hibs.

If we are unable to maintain the current momentum over the next few seasons, then I could agree with some of the above pessimistic/realistic comments.

Not only are we struggling to accommodate our own fans during the current up-turn in performances, we are also forced to limit valuable  potential income for the away fans of the bigger Scottish clubs.

With a little bit of rejigging the capacity and layout of the ground in the medium term, we could open up the opportunity of increased income for years to come.

But then again on the other hand, if we "are not on our way", we should sit tight and just hope that the current all-round improvement in performance does not continue but is just a flash in the pan.

They were only showing a part of the stand as available to buy so around 5-600 , they may put more up for sale but the rest of the stand may be available if they can segregate it

Being realistic, how long would it take for any new seating to pay for itself?  If the price is till £1k for a seat (I reckon it could be substantiailly more) then maybe 3-4 years?  That is a long time to be out by 1 million quid and investment elsewhere in the club will suffer.

It will take 3-4 years of success above the current level to amass the funds to add more seats and the only sensible option would be a new structure behind and all-but independent of the West stand.   My hope is that it will happen, it's really not being pessimistic to realise we are only in this smaller stadium because of mismanagement and misplaced investment from decades ago and a once-in-a-lifetime windfall from Tesco.

A little teaser of what to expect in Bergen. A warm welcome to all of you doing the trip.

I have posted this on two St Mirren threads on a general Scottish football site called PieandBovril. Thanks for your general info.
