To add insult to injury, not only did it hit Adegboyega's arm, the unnatural position of said arm was that it was attached to Olusanya's feckin' shirt via his hand. You couldn't make this sh!te up.

At times we played alright but we never look like scoring. Dundee United are a poor side with a solid defence . Once Olasanya goes off we are left with nothing. No point mentioning the referee as he is the worst in the League by a mile and we seem to get him regularly.  Having said that I have seen him worse. Possible red card for the goalkeeper in the first half and two joke penalties and a joke red card. Having said that we have to be better.

and a team that lacks a goal threat encourages the opposition to play with more freedom.

Olusanya was a bit greedy with his chance and blew that one.  Generally though, i am afraid that he doesn't get adequate support so you cant be too hard on him for not passing

McMenamin promises a lot, from time to time.  i just wish he would deliver more often

I would add that a goalie who spills that kind of header is not really of much use to us.  On his 8th loan spell at a young age and still unable to secure a regular contract tells it's own story.

Only saw the result yesterday without any details and felt disappointed we lost yet again to that lot. However having watched the brief highlights earlier, we were victims of poor adjudicating. The commentator mentioned about half a dozen players, all on loan from lower league English teams. Is that where our football is nowadays ? Anyway, come the transfer window, we desperately need a goalscorer and a goalkeeper. Finally, the United goalie should have been given his marching orders after the foul on Olusanya.

Goodwin went on record during the summer to say that to make signings, he was targeting players at EFL league 2 and national league standards or looking to get loanees.  Utd can't afford to sign better players than that on a contract, hence the loans.  I am 100% certain we are in the same boat.

As for the ref, he is rotten and we knew that before the game.  We were naive for some of those decisions, e.g Olusanya being a wee bit too late to show signs of injury after that tackle and giving the ref the chance to decide it was exaggerated as well as Fraser getting in a fankle by not playing the ball when he could have before his sending off.  We need to be cannier with these officials who are just looking for an obvious decision that will avoid them getting a poor report

Gross incompetence, absolutely, but I’m sorry, to suggest actual bias is nonsense. Why on earth would the officials be bias against St. Mirren in a match against Dundee Utd unless they were Utd fans (which I can only assume they are not).

I’m also quite surprised by what seems to be the majority view on here that we deserved something from that game. We created absolutely nothing the entire game and although we perhaps didn’t deserve the lose the game the way we did i.e. several debatable decisions going against us, Utd created several other very good clear openings and for me did more than enough to deserve the points.

We seem to be that team that puts a wee run together and just when you’re starting to believe again, we throw in a stinking performance like that to punch you in the guts again.

It isn’t the first time that ref has had a completely inexplicable performance against us. He was actually the same the time before when he officiated us. And has been before that.

I actually make a point of watching when we have him, to see if I can see comparable in our favour. I have yet to.
