Palmerston is a great stadium and I like Dumfries also. First time I was at the Ground was February 1977. We had an outstanding 4-0 win with great attacking play and flair. It was the era of the famous Fergie's Furies .We had just beaten St Johnstone 5-0 not long before. I was thrilled to bits to witness that match also. The best era ever watching St Mirren Football Club. Over 4500 at Palmerston that great day. Probably nearer 3000 this Saturday. Quote

Over the two games away to St Johnstone and QOS, the legendary goalscorer Robert Torrance scored 5 goals, what a fantastic striker he was. Can anyone remember the nickname he was given by assistant manager, Davy Provan ? No prize for correct answer. Anyone on here my age or older should know the answer. Quote

Callum Gilhooley Posted January 13 Report Posted January 13 The QOTS home seated tickets seem to be very slow to move , Section 1 in the stand we’re in is virtually empty . Wonder if they simply know there will be no rush and are leaving it till last minute . Quote

beyond our ken Posted January 17 Report Posted January 17 I have a concession ticket that is free of charge for anyone who is attending and isn't yet in possession. I am reliant on public transport this weekend and it is simply too long a journey time for me. If you want the ticket then it is available to the first genuine concession qualifier, please PM me.
