Qarsaan Posted December 26, 2024 Report Posted December 26, 2024 (edited) Scoring late goals seems to have become a bit of a habit. That's a good habit. Edited December 26, 2024 by Qarsaan Quote

guinness Posted December 26, 2024 Report Posted December 26, 2024 Brilliant result. Did not make it tonight but that is a great result. We have lost the odd game we thought we Should win but have won a few we did not expect to. Moving in right direction. Great to see a couple of youngsters coming on. Quote
faraway saint Posted December 26, 2024 Author Report Posted December 26, 2024 Just for some context this Rangers team had been on a very good run of form and, overall, we were the better team. First 45 we caused them all sorts of problems and, deservedly, got the penalty and goal. They came out after half-time and were all over us for a time. They got the equaliser, and at that point, we were in trouble. The manager what a uy, made changes and we slowly turned it around The winning goal was a joy, robbed them in midfield and the coolest of passes from Mooney to let Munce strike it so sweet into the corner. What a belated Christmas present. Quote

Saint@Johnstone Posted December 26, 2024 Report Posted December 26, 2024 Another great late winner for us, slightly against the run of play but nevertheless very welcome. More interesting however was the Rangers dugout. Resembling a scene from Nosferatu, perhaps after they are relieved from their positions a job haunting houses could follow. 💀 Quote

DougJamie Posted December 26, 2024 Report Posted December 26, 2024 Seriously we could have been second this season.....well twice Utd twice...... what a superb team performance and IMHO we have the best man manager....3 subs involved in goal....watched game with some Gers fans.....God it was lovely.... stlucifer Posted December 26, 2024 Report Posted December 26, 2024 RIGHT. now I've managed to get myself back off the ceiling..... What a way to beat either of the @rsecheeks! I have to admit, my optimism was a wee bit shattered with the way we started the second half. When they equalized I honestly thought there was only going to be one team winning it. How wrong I was. I thought, when they put up the board with six minutes they were trying to give the h**s time for a winner. It was like Aberdeen all those months ago, Saintees and Ross C all over again. Fergie time will have to be renamed! I loved the chorus of Hagi, what's the score. The wee Nyaff didn't know where to look. As for the "incidents" during the match. I thought Butland made no real attempt to play the ball and should have walked. I'm sure Hagi was already booked and should definitely have been shown a second yellow for his antics after they equalized. Boyd Munce goal? What a lay back by young Mooney and what a strike. The down side? Well I am on standby today so I can't properly celebrate tonight. Rain check till tomorrow and watch the highlights. Quote
eastlandssaint Posted December 27, 2024 Report Posted December 27, 2024 We looked a bit tired after our recent matches , but kept going till the end against fairly solid opposition on a bumpy surface and took our chance at the end . Quote
