What an evening!  The cherry on top of a lovely Christmas!

Well done Saints, every one of them!

Evan Mooney showed maturity beyond his years with that calm and measured pass to Caolan Boyd-Munce for the winner.  Absolutely terrific!  I think Evan has a bright future ahead of him.

Ianis Hagi...is there currently a bigger bellend in Scottish football than this chancer?  I know the majority of footballers go down rather easily these days but this character takes it to another level.  Not to mention his celebration infont of the West Stand fans, you'd have thought he'd just won the World Cup (not even his father managed that).  A real bellend of human being.

Another great late winner for us, slightly against the run of play but nevertheless very welcome. More interesting however was the Rangers dugout. Resembling a scene from Nosferatu, perhaps after they are relieved from their positions a job haunting houses could follow. 💀

Lord Voldemort's jacket has to be on a shoogly peg surely?

To think some short sighted supporters 🤣 were telling us relegation was a possibility and questioning Robinson.

Somebody even suggested that after a member of staff left he was contributing more to the team success than Robinson.

We went through a phase of bad results but the performances were not as bad as the results suggested.

Last nights victory wasn't a smash and grab result, we outplayed a Rangers team who were in a string run of form.

This was the best resukt/performance since the 3-2 Cup game a few years ago.

I mentioned before the game that if we see our club bring a consistent top six club we should be getting points against the Old Firm.

Gone are the days of trying to park the bus or keep the score to 3 or 4.

Sure, financially we're way behind plenty of teams but a good manager, and we have a very good manager, makes the difference in financial clout much less.

Let's see if f we can have a successful cup run, the only disappointment for me over the last couple of seasons.

PS a Rangers supporting mate sent me a  "congratulations and we'll deserved" message and I've noticed a few similar words on Facebook. 👏👏👏

Tremendous performance & result. Bar a short period in the second half, they never looked like bothering us.

No doubt that’ll be spun in the media as ‘Rangers were poor’ when the reality is, to a man we were fantastic and got our tactics spot on.

Three subs combining for the second goal makes an injury time winner even better IMO.

I get there have been times this season when we have been poor & the summer recruitment could have been better. But when you consider the injury list & the issues with the law, it’s some achievement to be sitting fifth in the league at this stage.

A win against Dundee and we close the gap on at least one of the two teams immediately above us. Let’s do it.

Great result last night. Thought Taylor was superb at the back. In fact they all were superb at the back. The youngsters coming on and looking the part. From starting 11 to the subs it was a great performance. Just need to start the 2nd half better, lol.

Now need to beat Dundee on Sunday to cement our place in the top half and start to chase down Aberdeen, lol

Still buzzing after that last night - winning goal gets better every time you watch it !
Was bemused by Hagi’s reaction to Rangers equaliser, right in front of the Saints fans …….. wtf was that about did I miss something ??

with all the recent late winners, I'd say that one big failing from early season has been rectified and that is fitness.  Having the stamina to stick it to the opposition late in almost any game is a proper weapon.  I got the impression that some players  did not report back in the best shape after the close season, either mentally or physically, and like a lot of fans I worried that some of the new signings were a step down.  Most of them have improved though, especially Balcombe who was simply not nearly ready for the season, and some are better than i thought they would be.  The failure rate of signings is still too high for a club our size so thank heavens for the proper talent coming through to the first team now.  Maybe wee Fraser can come back to add some skill with the ball at his feet as we still need to make the ball stick up front for longer to take some pressure off the midfield & defence.

The squad seems fitter and happier since Brian Kerr stepped up, that might be a coincidence but it would be unfair not to offer him some credit.

I hope we can keep this group together through the transfer window and any cash that is available might just provide the extra we need for a decent cup run and a top 4 finish.

This has to be a joke. Both these teams delight in (let’s say) politically diverse songs and yet this is getting the guy animated.

Finishing the year with 30 points would be a major statement. I don’t want to sound like Elvis or others but this is St.Mirren so I hope we keep a lid on it and are capable of beating a really poor Dundee side!
