Toyosi off to the US. I wish him all the best and thank him for his contributions to our recent success, which have been considerable.

Hard to disagree with Robinson's comments about the player, but would like to have seen a comment from the lad himself. Might still come, I suppose.

Toyosi's farewell on Instagram.

t_olusanya After an unforgettable chapter my time at@stmirrenfootballclub has come to an end. I want to say a heartfelt thankyou to the staff that helped me develop as a player and a person, to the Gaffa for giving me the opportunity to showcase myself, to my team mates that I shared the pitch with, we fought, struggled and celebrated, I'm honoured to have shared the changing room with you all, more importantly to all the fans. Thank you for every Chant, every cheer and all the belief you had in me week in week out without fail. We achieved so much the past 3 years and I'm grateful for every moment and challenge we faced together. Though I'm excited to embark on a new journey, i will always appreciate the people that helped me make st Mirren my home. I'd like to wish everyone at the club all the best, the people of Paisley will always have a special place in my heart! Take care buddies #COYS

Excellent post from Toyosi and I'm sure it will be much appreciated by the supporters. Hope he does well in the US.

Thanks, FS, for copying the message on here. I'm not on any social media, so I would have missed it if you hadn't helped me out.

I agree 100% about his statement and I'll watch out for his progress in the US.

You're welcome. 👍

Good luck to Toyosi. A great piece of business by Saints and a great opportunity for him.

I have to say. It's not a place I would feel comfortable going to work with all the noises coming from over there with this strange administration but I'm sure it'll be different for a professional "soccer player".

Wishing Toyosi all the best on his journey to the US—his impact on the team has clearly been significant, and it’s always great to see talent recognized and rewarded with new opportunities. I agree it would’ve been nice to hear a few words from him personally, but hopefully that comes soon. As an assignment writer Perth, I understand how valuable it is to acknowledge contributions and growth, whether in academics or sports.

Why ridiculous? We got money for the USA club to sign him and they decided he was shite so gave him away.

Indeed, merely ridiculous because he clearly had ideas well beyond his capabilities. Should have stayed where he was.

Sometimes players make decisions purely on the offered advice of their 'informed' agent who obviously wants the best financial deal for both them and their client.

Many times, it just doesn't work out. In his case I think the step up was big, but for many it takes months to establish yourself at a new club. Take him as an example he struggled big time for our first season, then hardly got a game at Arbroath, then developed under good coaching and was an effective front runner last season.

He was never a natural goal scorer but he was quick and that is his main asset. I tended to say his feet were faster than his brain sometimes, but they did scare the opposition defence when he got in there.

I'm sure, financially, it was a total success. He is no doubt still earning that big pay cheque while playing in the lower echelons of English football. Not too bad a gig if you can get it.

I seem to remember (I may be wrong) that after his season at Arbroath, Robinson sat down with him in the summer and said, your pace is what will bring you and us success, but cut out all the stepovers etc and do what we tell you. In fairness he obviously took on board what the coaches were asking, for the most part, and developed well. He may have been asked to do something completely different at his new club and he hasn't been able to adjust.

As I said, a move to another club sometimes just doesn't work out for some players. I tend to agree with you, but they obviously didn't do their homework on him and only saw the clips of him racing past someone, or scoring a goal, so they came calling and it would have been daft for Saints to try and stop him moving to the US.

I have no issues with Toyosi, and I hope he finds his feet at Doncaster.
