Last game of a very topsy turvy season.

Celtic, by some way, have been the best team in the country, scoring an astounding 111 goals.

Unlikely we'll win this but not impossible.

It would be some achievement if we get something from the game and United continue their top 6 collapse.

There's always hope.

I agree it's unlikely but Saints have proven to be resilient and, as I said in the Hibs thread, Celtic will probably field a "weakened" side with the cup final looming, so we can but live in hope of being the proverbial party poppers.

The last game we were well in it till a late collapse and against a full strength Celtic side.

They fielded a weaker team last night against Aberdeen, just shows the depth of squad they have, and thumped them 1-5.

By the time Saturday comes I'll be felling more optimistic as we really are, overall, a decent side.

I agree they have a very strong squad but I don't think we have the weak underbelly the dons have. I hope I'm not proven wrong. No matter what though we have been magnificent in taking this to the very last game.

I heard a Brendan Rodger’s interview where he said he would play a weakened team v aberdeen but would play his cup final team v us

We are long overdue a win against Celtic, Saturday would do just fine and maybe propel us into a euro place. Great performance last night, the first ten minutes excepted. I still want to know why the third goal was ruled out. 😠

Well I guess we'll just need to kick the s@it out off his starting 11 for the cup final :)

Our mentality is better under Robinson

We don’t go into theses games believing we are beat before a ball has been kicked

I expect nothing but hope for something

Maybe, just maybe….

That's a key point.

It wasn't too many years ago we usually tried, and failed, to park the bus or if we tried to attack we'd get destroyed.

The managers positiver and the players believe.

Even some of our support believe.

What a time to be a Saints supporter.

the coaching team have done an incredible job in dealing with player's comparative weak points since the end of last year, occasional blips along the way, but it's been a weakened squad from November to March. Cant afford the early absence of concentration we saw on Wednesday.  I'd roll the dice and say Utd will be beaten again and that a draw will see us through to 5th

We can only go out and go for it , Celtic will be expecting it and with a cup final the next week how much do they risk, we have nothing too lose .

100%

Hardly a shock if they do....Dons are woeful....

There's nothing between them, both have been poor with Aberdeen at least winning one game since the split.

It's got a draw written all over it IMO.
