elvis Posted July 27 Report Posted July 27 Another poor performance from us despite that should have been 4-1 this is going to be a long season if we keep falling asleep like that . Quote

stlucifer Posted July 27 Report Posted July 27 Almost the proverbial game of two halves. We were cruising at two nil after 45 minutes. It took Ayr until the fiftieth minute to get their first shot at goal. Everything seemed to change after Mandron's miss. We started to let the game get away from us and couldn't handle their corners. A slog in the end but a win is a win so on we go. Hearts will definitely prove tougher opponents but we will have more minutes in the legs and our newbies will hopefully have bedded in. Quote
guinness Posted July 27 Report Posted July 27 First half we played quite well though Ayr were just sitting in and playing for a draw. We got two up and similar to last week seemed to lose purpose. I know you all seem to Love Taylor but I really do not think he is strong enough to play in the Premier. Certainly not every week. Perhaps keep him as an impact sub. Not totally convinced with King. Looks skilful but not sure he is strong or aggressive enough for our League. Same with Richardson. Did not do much wrong but Did not do enough right to convince me. Still we got to the next round. Think we need a midfielder creator and a centre forward. Not easy to find on our budget. Quote

Saint@Johnstone Posted July 27 Report Posted July 27 A bit of a slog and was unimpressed with any of the new signings. King and Richardson don’t look up to the standard whilst although Mandron was poor, he was replaced by someone even worse( Ayunga). Forward line non existent and goals only come from midfield. I doubt Celtic will be shaking in their boots about next weekend. Vast improvement required to beat Hearts. Any chance of signing a centre forward ? Quote

Really harsh, not even match sharp yet and you’re writing them off. Classic negativity Quote
