I was pleased with the First-Half performance.  The Second-Half, not so much.

Scott Brown made a couple of changes for Ayr United for the Second-Half and that, along with our players going into their shell, got them more into the game and you could see the goal coming for them.  They spurned a couple of good chances before they got their goal and Shamal George made a great save from a second header from a corner that definitely looked goal bound.

I thought Richard King was decent apart from when he was caught by the Ayr Player then proceeded to jump up, square up to him, push him, then when he saw the Referee coming over to speak to them, remembered he was hurt and went down like a greeting jessie.  Very poor behaviour from a St. Mirren player, very poor indeed.  Hopefully Stephen Robinson tells him to cut that shite out.  He got an unnecessary yellow card as a result of his histrionics and deservedly so.  Please don't do it again, Richard.

Jayden Richardson, didn't do anything wrong that I can remember but I don't think he did anything that made me think "ah that was good" either.  Some Aberdeen fans weren't impressed when he was up there. I don't know what his circumstances were when he was at Aberdeen, maybe lack of confidence or something as he only made about nineteen appearances for them.  Hopefully Stephen Robinson can get the best out of him that Aberdeen clearly couldn't.

Still, early in the season and cup football is all about getting through to the next round and we did that.

I forgot to mention all the people from America that were in the West Stand today.  The seemed to enjoy their day out and they got a shout out by the matchday announcer which they all appreciated as well.  I hope they enjoy the rest of their time in Scotland and safe travels home.

Well done on highlighting the histrionics of Richard King. Should be stamped out at our and every club.

Straight red cards and lengthy bans for the jessies.

It takes ages for a team to get into rhythm, are you saying the team should be the finished article now?

Give him another couple of weeks to answer....his brain 🧠  isn't the finished article 🙄

I'm with you, Shull.

Each generation of footballers is getting worse for this nonsense.  Going down far too easily, trying to get opponents booked, pretending not to hear the referee's whistle, kicking the ball away when there's absolutely no need to get involved and pretending to be a hard man until the referee or assistant referee come over to get involved.  Totally cringeworthy stuff.

Red cards, bans and a fine of a weeks wages.
