Trump comes to Scotland to play a bit of golf, (and, as was shown in videos, even in this he can't be trusted to play fair), and Scotland has to pay the price for the "privilege".

WHY?

As a nation we are overwhelmingly against this lying, corrupt person and believe he should be a persona "non grata" and yet the just as much hated Starmer uses OUR funds to cover the cost of his crawling, sycophantic @rselicking to the moron.

I'm really disappointed that Swinney is entertaining the fool but at least he is trying to look after Scotland's interest as he had no choice as far as the financial costs incurred.

On the surface his visit is billed as a private trip but the reality is far from that.

He's already held a successful meeting, reducing tarrifs, with the EU leader and yesterday spent considerable time with Starmer discussing serious issues like the tragedy in Gaza, Ukraine and talks, to continue today when Swinney joins the party, on Scottish whisky, worth quite a few bob.

Aye, he's a nut job but he's a nut job that can change things for the better.

Quite what you expect Starmer to gain by ignoring him is short sighted and narrow minded.

With every passing month Trumps time gets less and less.

In the meantime it's better to have him onside than against you.

The point is that the bulk of  the money to protect this moron is not coming from the EU or R.o.Uk budget. It's coming from the "allowance" Westminster gives to the Scottish government. It reduces the coffers of the Scottish budget which directly affects the services they can provide. The tariffs affecting the EU is not our problem directly. If Trump wants to pretend he's making "great" deals with the EU, let the EU or Trump pay for the negotiations.

Oh. And I don't want to ignore him. I want him to know that we know he's an @rsehole. I just don't want to pay for the "privilege" of him visiting us to allow me to do so.

So Swinney, who single handily, made things easier for Trump to build his golf course, is now one of Trumps pals.

Now, that's funny eh @stlucifer

Swinney is trying to look after Scotland's interest in the face of a megalomaniac idiot. But you knew that, didn't you.

But directing this to just me? Hmmmmmmm.

Looking after Scotland's interests? Maybe you should listen to the people who were against this golf course, but that's not you is it?

You on the other hand with your anti English, bitter narrow minded outlook on almost everything are the very type that puts people off independance so I love when post your pleading attempts to sway people to follow you.

That's when you are funny. 🤣🤣🤣

You do know this is a public forum where threads are started and people exchange opinions?

You don't really handle that too well,  understandable as your limited.

Trolling, on tbe other hand, is something very different.

I hope this helps. 👋👋👋

It was an exhibition round of golf by someone playing a course that he owns , with preferred lies and best ball. You can speak for yourself when you say we are "overwhelmingly" against him,if he can reduce the tariffs on whisky etc then he'll do more for the Scottish economy than anyone else has managed in the last ten years. Swinney is weak and cant lay a glove on Starmer , yet Trump belittled him yesterday without even trying !

I think you'll find that EVERY poll suggests I am NOT speaking for myself.

As for the tariffs. Aye! He'll do more for the Scottish economy by reducing tariffs? MY @RSE!!  It's the same idiot who is trying to use putting excessive tariffs on to then spin it as REDUCING them. It's akin to the con a shop does when they raise the price of objects for 28 days to claim they are reducing them in a sale.

And he sh!tes out of that too on many occasions.

Swinney doesn't need to lay a glove on Starmer. Kidstarver is punching himself out.

The only thing JS needs to do is keep the high ground and ask, "Does Scotland want to be controlled by Farage and Reform or choose a different path"? That would be nothing to do with whether Swinnney can play the politics game.

ETA. The first line of your post? Were you privi to what was going on during that round? I think you'll find that a caddie doesn't need to use stealth IF he isn't trying to rig the game.

I had it on VHS, but it was stolen from my house during a break-in, along with other prized possessions on the weekend I decided I was going to leave Paisley for good!
