faraway saint Posted August 25, 2025 Report Posted August 25, 2025 The tough games keep on coming and Hibs away will be a real test. It's strange that we could go into September without a league win and still be feeling quite confident. The good thing is they could be a wee bit fatigued after a European game, and deflated as I suspect they will go out. Quote
faraway saint Posted August 29, 2025 Author Report Posted August 29, 2025 Cracking gesture by Hibs, popping £30k behind the bar in the fanzone for the travelling support. 👏👏👏 Quote
Helmettroll Posted August 29, 2025 Report Posted August 29, 2025 Watched the Hibs game last night and they were so unlucky, they played brilliantly at times and I honestly felt gutted for them getting knocked out.. Its going to be a hard ask to take the 3 points here but hopefully there heads will still be down after last night's result.. Quote

And only the width of the crossbar stopped a shot from close on 40 yards probably winning the tie for Hibs. Quote
BanburyBill Posted August 30, 2025 Report Posted August 30, 2025 I really think if we get a draw here it will be a good result. Hibs in my my mind are far stronger than Rangers Quote
BanburyBill Posted August 30, 2025 Report Posted August 30, 2025 The thing is faraway if we keep picking up the points it will get easier as the season progresses. Tomorrow I really don’t know if we get a point all good. If we don’t it’s not the end of the world. If I’m being honest I t think Hibs may win Quote
BanburyBill Posted August 30, 2025 Report Posted August 30, 2025 I’m not doing an Elvis by the way Quote
guinness Posted August 30, 2025 Report Posted August 30, 2025 Big games coming up are Falkir k and Dundee. These are the games we normally cannot win. This season we will probab!y not do as well against the top teams as we did last season so we have to start beating the bottom sides. This has been problem for us in the past. Quote
Qarsaan Posted August 31, 2025 Report Posted August 31, 2025 We have a settled starting XI. I think three games on the trot. That should bring confidence. Looks like a nice day in Edinburgh. Quote

faraway saint Posted August 31, 2025 Author Report Posted August 31, 2025 Not a lot in it, Hibs have slightly more on attacking but nothing that our defence can't handle. We should be looking to get our goalie signed up on a long term deal. Quote
Qarsaan Posted August 31, 2025 Report Posted August 31, 2025 I hope that 88KP is OK after his injury, and performs for Ireland next weekend. StM seem to have done OK from that enforced change. Game is fairly even and could go either way. Quote
Qarsaan Posted August 31, 2025 Report Posted August 31, 2025 (edited) Freckleton off his tummy and it's 1-0 for StM. Edited August 31, 2025 by Qarsaan Quote
faraway saint Posted August 31, 2025 Author Report Posted August 31, 2025 Took an eternity to confirm the goal. 😂 Hibs 0-1 Saints. Quote

Qarsaan Posted August 31, 2025 Report Posted August 31, 2025 Full time 1-1.. Take the point and run. Quote
bazil85 Posted August 31, 2025 Report Posted August 31, 2025 We were so wasteful today, especially since their equaliser. A wee bit more composure in our passing and play, it could have been a different story. In saying that, over the game with the Hibs chances a draw seems a fair result. Improvements to be made for sure, after the international break. Quote
faraway saint Posted August 31, 2025 Author Report Posted August 31, 2025 1-1 final score. A wee scare at the death as it looked close for the penalty. A great point and we go into Sept with only 1 defeat from as tough a start as was possible. Quote
Saint@Johnstone Posted August 31, 2025 Report Posted August 31, 2025 Will watch highlights later, sounded like a scare right at the death. Admiration to those posters on here able to update the match whilst attending to game. Multitaskers supreme. Quote
