Despite some good football we play, it’s going to be a struggle this season as we have, yet again, nothing up front. Starting Ayunga on a regular basis is disastrous and any goals will have to come from midfield or defenders. Hoping against hope for improvement but doubtful.

The other issue is our midfield don’t look up to scoring either.

I assume Calvin and Dijksteel aren’t up to much? Anyone know if they have been injured?

Mooney not even getting a look in either. over all - it’s not looking good.

Our midfield, Phillips apart, are off the boil.

I've been waiting and waiting for Taylor to get a chance.

He got 20 minutes yesterday, passes to his own team more often than not, makes himself available and tries to go forward as much as possible..

Add in he can strike a dead ball and he's surely worth a run?

Love seeing some properly considered footage with measurements.   (nicked from @callmebaygirl on twitter)

I'd whizzed this over in my mind Saturday night wondering how thick the pitch lines were and how many (figured had to be 2 or 3 line widths) the ball would have to be in front before it wouldn't have overlapped the penalty box line and been legally "inside" especially as you see virtually every player sit the ball over the corner quadrant by about a centimetre these days.

As others have said maybe just boot it but it's so unlikely that the ball wasn't technically in the box that Shamal has been proper shafted here.
Lets face it, technically it's in the box and he got it right and Beaton & mate got it wrong.

While the officials haven't had the same time to analyse this as others have at worst it's got to be inconclusive so therefore couldn't be given as a foul.

This decision apart the referee wasn't that bad on Saturday but that's not very cool to admit.

Anyhow, it's over and these decisions shouldn't overshadow our inability to score a couple of goals in one game.

I see over on Facebook the paranoia is reaching fever pitch.
