eastlandssaint Posted February 13 Report Posted February 13 Stephen Robinson: It needs to step up Quote
bazil85 Posted February 14 Report Posted February 14 We are needing to settle here & settle quickly. Hibs are being allowed far too much space & to create in around the box. Quote
Qarsaan Posted February 14 Report Posted February 14 20 mins gone. St Mirren have not turned-up yet. Quote
spankin_panda Posted February 14 Report Posted February 14 (edited) It’s almost impossible to watch St Mirren now. It’s soo predictable, defence gets ball, knocks it to a striker (bypassing midfield) and the strikers loose it. We don’t win the second ball and suddenly on the defensive. No plan b. No dig about us and no creativity at all! Thank f**k for Livi and will be interested to see our dress rehearsal v Partick. I have to be this negative but we are absolutely dire. Qarsaan Posted February 14 Report Posted February 14 That first half really was painful. It seems the poor form goes back to the injury to O'Hara. After that Baccus managed to hold things together, but after the cup win, he got side-lined too. Today we have a midfield of 5 decent pros who are lost together. All we do is give the ball to George, and he hits it over the top of them to the defenders who accept it with ease. Taylor was tried as a replacement after Baccus went. He's an honest trier, but passes the ball backwards too much. He could not step in to fill the void. KP88 is being ignored. No one gives him a pass. Gogic is being played out of position. He runs around and kicks opponents too often, coz they are faster than him. Devaney showed great touches since he came in, and might be able to fill Baccus's spot. I don't think he was given one decent pass Vs. Kilmarnock, and today it looks like he has been ignored by his team mates. There is some good news. O'Hara is on the bench. It looks like he is on the way back. Quote
elvis Posted February 14 Report Posted February 14 Only a couple of minutes in still getting new arse hole handed to us . Quote
bazil85 Posted February 14 Report Posted February 14 Another match where we get exactly what we deserve. Nothing whatsoever. Easy way to make some money at the bookies today though, Hibs & England (rugby) double. 🤑 Quote

st jock Posted February 14 Report Posted February 14 Cant pass. Cant find space. Cant defend. Cant cross. Cant tackle. No urgency. No belief. No commitment. Not looking forward to the rest of the season. Quote

But if this continues, these voices will get louder and louder. It’s just the way it goes in a results driven business. Quote
spankin_panda Posted February 14 Report Posted February 14 I think SR will chuck it before he’d ever get sacked. The latter I cannot see any time soon. However - it is a very very concerning period for us. The hard part is teams do not need to work hard to beat us. Hibs barely made effort and did. Motherwell and Falkirk too. I can’t remember the last time a stoker scored in a league game. Quote
elvis Posted February 14 Report Posted February 14 It's so bad I turn it off as soon as we lose a goal because 99% of the time it's game over .Silver lining is will be a return of the Derby next season. Quote

That really isn’t a silver lining and don’t pretend it is. We should be hoping we can turn it round and pick up results and strengthen and improve for next season. I get your position on this I.e a goal and we look done but relegation, less money and a Lowe standard isn’t a ‘silver lining’ Quote
party politics Posted February 14 Report Posted February 14 A mile off it all over the pitch, the players look lost, and confidence at an all time low for this squad. The January window looks to have been a disaster, with only Devenney showing any signs of being a footballer. Why we signed Campbell is totally bewildering as he is now sitting on the naughty step alongside Donnelly, Sobawale, Dijksteel, (I am aware he is now out for the season) Tanser etc etc. We added two forwards who on there brief outings so far look as if they are fitting in just fine with all the other dross we have up top. Our manager bleats on about budgets and having a small squad, but he is certainly not helping matters with his signings. And why we keep trying CM at right wing back is a recipe for disaster. Though he looks so low on confidence I wouldn't be playing him anywhere at the time being. Quote
