Ffs 2-0 looks like we should have got a manager

i am not sure that's fair.Saints have a fairly small pool and have had a lot of injuries. Without those injuries the last few months' line-ups would have been very different ...  and the Scottish cup finalists might be different.

Having written that, I agree today's performance is disappointing.

The return of the Renfrewshire derby awaits! What a calamity this season has turned out to be. The fact that we can’t even score leads me to believe that we won’t beat either Partick or Dunfermline. Two well organised and confident teams.

We need to stop winning cups....we go into freefall

Will be a very very long time before we win a cup again we will be in the championship for years that's if we don't do a Ross County.

I keep thinking it can’t get any worse & keep being proven wrong. Yes under Robbo we were awful, but at least we got balls into decent positions up the park.

losing a must win game & having absolutely no urgency is completely unacceptable. The manager has been thrown to the wolves, sure. But the players have checked out as well. Most don’t deserve and won’t have the privilege of being a full time footballer for long.

This hasn’t been about the injuries. The players aren’t trying hard enough, they haven’t got the urgency or desire. And the manager isn’t setting them up for success either. The tactics are rank rotten.

it isn’t his fault, he’s just out his depth.

We need to appoint a new manager Immediately even if he can't keep us up he will see the dross he has at his disposal and get rid as soon as the final whistle goes in the second Thistle game and start over.

Right after today do we get rid of present manager and bring someone in for  play off?  Today was awful. Most of team did not seem to try very hard. Irish boy had  a look then seemed to not fancy it. No doubt out for three or four months. One of the worst signings We have ever made.

The only thoughts I have about the current performances are entirely negative,.  No need to pore over the reasons as they have all been expressed by most of us.  The only thing worth saying is that we definitely have what it takes to beat any of the play-off opponents as long as the players can be motivated.  Otherwise, just prepare for a big reset and start building the club again.

I don't think it is overly pessimistic to say that any spell in the Championship could well be a lengthy one

This relegation could put us back years as we are going to have to rebuild the whole team I hope we don't do a Ross County but it's St Mirren so it wouldn't surprise me at all.

Well it should surprise you because we have never done a Ross County in the past.

We need to get Nlundalu and Gogic back and avoid any injury before play-off.

We are talking here about a team who only a few weeks ago with another 5 minutes could have finished off Celtic for a second time at Hampden and who have matched Hearts all season.

The club needs to galvanise and so do the support and stop spouting drivel.

There is more than enough in the squad to win the play off match.

Get over the line and rebuild for next season.

Also maybe a good idea to stop trashing McLeish who is doing his utmost with what he has been given. The rookie stuff is lazy and easy but the problems are way deeper than Craig McLeish.

In previous seasons we have been very fortunate with injury and have carried a fair share of luck at times. This season has been the opposite and show the level of achievement for the club in Robinson's time here

There is no way this team is getting over the line.

It wouldn't surprise me if we don't see another Saints' goal this season. I am sure Dunfermline and Partick are wringing their hands at the prospect of playing "St. Mirren nil".

If, as a few people have said previously, our forwards are only good enough for Championship level, then why shouldn't they be able to score against plastic whistle or the pars? Unless their defences have suddenly become Premiership level.

The problem is our non defence are not even Championship level first at a push.

I agree.  Stubbs like tactics ....I knew after 3 mins we had no out ball...Headless Chicken Mandron...  chasing shadows and Idowa...feck he is useless... should have played Young and Mickel upfront and Tanser on from start..

I mentioned some time ago over on P&B I didn't think we had enough quality to be successful with a "passing game" like Motherwell but it was shot down.

We can complete a few easy passes but we simply don't have the quality to provide our forwards with a decent chance

It's fairly obvious our success has been from a long ball and cashing in from set pieces.

Plenty of smaller sides over the years have had relative success playing a direct route, nothing to be ashamed of, so that's how I think we should go in the last few games.

Hey, we might even score a goal.

Well said, we all need to get behind the team and hopefully roar them onto success in the play offs
