After 3 years of progression, this has disaster written all over it. The performances against Livingston, Kilmarnock and Partick were shocking.

Livingston wasn't shocking, a bad second half is closer to the truth.

Kilmarnock was poor but that's ignoring the fact they were on fire.

Partick, well, comfortably seen them off.

Don't forget previous games where we showed, in periods, some half decent stuff.

McLeish wouldn't have been my choice but, tell us, who else was in the frame?

I have been a supporter for over 75 years and a season ticket holder for over ten year, but this must be the worst decision the club have ever made. I will not be renewing my season ticket this year as my blood pressure will not stand watching McLeish standing immobile and silent at the side of the pitch whilst the team serves up the rubbish we watched for the last few months. The board have not listened to the supporters but have instead have chosen the cheap option. I fear we will be propping up the league for most of next season, I hope I am wrong.

I fear you won't be wrong.

An awful lot of assumptions there but you do what's best for you.

I honestly think this is the wrong way to go. McLeish did ok but a full season with the added responsibility of input for recruitment is too much. I agree this appears to be the cheap and, dare I say, lazy option.

If you’re not renewing season ticket why would it matter to you if you are right or wrong?

Supporter for 75 years? We’ve had some shite times over that period,I take it this is not the first time you’ve dumped us?

I saw absolutely NOTHING that suggested he is the right man to take St Mirren forward and find the appointment staggering! Sounded and performed like someone miles out their depth. I won't renew and will pay as I go, if I go. I suspect there will be hundreds like me costing the club a small fortune.

Would not have been my first choice but let us give the guy achance.  So little between  the bottom few teams if we could find a 15  goal centre we would  probably be fine.  That might prove a challenge.

Not inspiring..... mind you i worried when Danny Lennon was appointed and our league form was rank.... it could be worse i guess Tommy Craig...Stubbs and that rangers twat spring to mind....be nice if we could get an old head in to help Craig cause my God he is going to need it

Can't believe we have searched the UK and further afield for a new Manager and all the time the right candidate with years of Managerial experience was sitting there under our noses in the youth set up !

Appreciate it isn't official yet (from the club) but if confirmed I'd be really disappointed with the appointment of Craig McLeish.

To be fair to the lad he inherited an injury ravaged squad but I didnt see any tactical know how and the performances against Livingston and Kilmarnock were terrible.

The board got the interim appointment wrong and looks like the permanent appointment wrong .We staggered over the finish line to just stay in the league and he is not the man to lead us forward.

Poor decision if confirmed.

I'd suggest the fact we managed, yeah just, to stay in the league would suggest the interim appointment was far from wrong.

Results were mixed but we were on a really confidence sapping period.

As for his permanent appointment, (I was hoping for a new face) it's way too early to say this is wrong.

Time will tell.

I think we can say with almost 100% certainty it won't be McLeish and it certainly will not be Docherty. Both would be season ticket suicide!

Seems we've just booked ourselves in to the DIgnitas Clinic.
Heaven help us. We may have consigned ourselves to years in the lower league wilderness with this utter stupidity after some of our best years.
Why would you choose to self destruct like this? Unbelievable.

THIS HERE ...and I suspect you and I won't be the only ones. Just the 50 years here but it's so bloody obvious McLeish is not the man for the job. He set up the teams and the tactics and sent the players out for the critical period last season to secure their survival. They capitulated to 12th place Livi, 11th placed Killie who leap frogged them and 9th place Dundee without managing a single goal.
Was over the moon we scraped through the play off and we did scrape through. Most neutrals thought Thistle the better side. I wouldn't agree, I thought they were poor allowing us to escape the drop.
I can't bear to watch us throw that all away.
I'd love to have the optimism of a surprise upturn but my head knows exactly what is about to happen under a clearly unready manager.

Here's there last 4 games.

I'd suggest 13 goals in 4 games was pretty decent, wouldn't you?

A team fighting for their survival against two already safe Dundee teams, an already relegated Livingston and US?

These are the kind of results WE should have been expecting scrapping for jobs and league survival but we put in the most abject performances
with McLeish at the helm.

Had you been watching us?

Check our goals scored and ask yourself, was McLeish going to turn us into PSG.

Oh, we were far from "abject" in two games against Celtic.
