First glance this gave be a bit of a fright. 

Further investigation showed New Zealand haven't won a game in about a year. 

Still, next up for Haiti is England on Saturday.

England's friendly against Costa Rica is currently delayed.

Who would have thought there might be lightning and torrential rain mid-afternoon in Orlando.....

Only watched the first half, Costa Rica were fcuking brutal. 

I was surprised when I just checked they managed to still have 11 on the pitch by the final whistle although the ref looked as if she was fresh out of "ref school" and was going through the motions. 

England 3-0 Costa Rica, final score. 

England don't let many goals in so they'll go far.

First up tonight is Mexico v South Africa. 

I expect a comfortable win for Mexico, 4-0.

Then, in the early hours, it's South Korea v Czechia, I fancy the Koreans to edge this 2-1.

48 years ago today wee Archie scored THAT goal against Holland. 

Gave us all hope that, somehow after the previous two disastrous games, we could qualify.

Mexico 1-0 South Africa, blunder between the goalie and defender, some finish. 

Pity, they played out from defence really well a few times before this. 

Oh, the boy who scored for Mexico out scored both Toney and Ronaldo in the Saudi league, worth watching.

Drinks break. Mexico the better side. Poor goal to lose. Poor defending then through the goalie.

1-0 half time. Game died a bit after drinks break though Mexico had a couple of chances including hitting the post.

Mexico good in short spells, the SA goalies had a couple of good saves and they've hit the post.

Nice new rule that players have 10 seconds to get off when being substituted.

2-0. Scored just before everyone nodded off. Then another water break . Fairly poor game. South Africa have no threat and Mexico had seemed happy with 1-0. Hopefully another couple of goals to ckme.
